That double knot looked fine, if it is still available.
A very good IPA from there and a 6'er of Dancing Trout, and I will put in something for GG. You are on. How in the hell should it be shipped?..I know it is a no-no...is there a way to ship it without it getting broken?
I can buy Trout Slayer here....not sure about the Bayern version. Can't you get Four Peaks there? If not, pick one you like and we'll do a ceremonial transfer...of funds. Of course, I'm winning so it won't matter whether Four Peaks is sold there.

Ok. How about something else.

Not much to be proud of this year so thanks for mentioning W&M's absolute domination of #1 SIU two years ago. No CAA or Big Sky team will sniff the NC this season. I predict ND St vs GSU. 34-17 GSU

Any comments?
Yeah, I have a comment. WHAT **** PLANET DO YOU LIVE ON?
Let's see:
2010 NC: Big Sky vs CAA...Big Sky team is NC
2009 NC: Big Sky vs CAA...CAA team is NC
2008 NC: Big Sky vs CAA...CAA team is NC
2007 NC: Southern vs CAA...Southern team is NC
2006 NC: Southern vs CAA...Southern team is NC
2005 NC: Southern vs MVFC...Southern team is NC
2004 NC: Big Sky vs CAA...CAA team is NC
2003 NC: CAA vs Patriot...CAA team is NC
2002 NC: Southland vs MVFC...MFVC team is NC
2001 NC: Big Sky vs Southern...Big Sky team is NC
2000 NC: Big Sky vs Southern...Southern team is NC
So, in the past decade we have 7 CAA NC appearances (4 NC's), 6 Big Sky NC appearances (2 NC's), 5 Southern NC appearances (4 NC's) and 2 MVFC NC appearances (1 NC). The LAST THREE NC's have featured Big Sky and CAA teams.
There is absolutely no argument to be made for the MVFC to be included in the same sentence as the CAA as one of the "top two" conferences in FCS. Not since Youngstown State stopped winning titles.
+1 with this. Until the MVC can stop throwing up all over themselves in the postseason they are a marginal top tier conference at best.

MVC is a non-football conference.
I agree, the MVFC needs to win a few championships to get back into the top conference discussion.
EWURanger wrote:The MVFC is stronger than the Big Sky this season. Last season the Big Sky was stronger. Most years the two are inter-changeable, but I certainly wouldn't say the MVFC stands out as one of the top 2. It's hard to argue that when both the Big Sky and SoCon have a considerably more NC appearances than the MVFC. What makes the CAA stronger than the rest is the parity in that Conference. While a good conference, up until last season with GSU making a run, the SoCon has been pretty top-heavy with ASU. Same can be said about the Big Sky until last season when EWU made a deep run and ended up winning it all. Hell, I guess you could say the same thing about the MVFC up until last year....not a lot of teams have done much recently besides UNI.
That said, looks like the MVFC will have a chance to make some waves in the playoffs this year with possibly 3 teams getting in, so we'll see what happens.

Nope. Final four will be from these seven teams:
GSU
ASU
Maine
ODU
Montana
Montana State
SHSU
Shocking he has the Griz in there. Do you really think UM and Mst are that much better than NDSU-UNI? I would say those are some pretty evenly matched teams.

+2 - The CAA/Atlantic 10/Yankee toiled in obscurity for much of the time until the mid 90's, when they started to win in the playoffs. Conference strength is really measured then, in the playoffs, and the MVFC has not done well in that regard. The CAA, SoCon, and Big Sky have decent arguments for being the best conference - not so much with the MVFC. Start winning in the playoffs, and that can change.

Let's ignore the fact that we have two teams in the top five and three others inside the top fifteen. Finally we don't have to rely on UNI to do something for our league in the playoffs! Hopefully NDSU, YSU, ILSU, and/or INSU can make a deep run this year.
I repeat my earlier prediction: No MVFC makes it past the quarters this year.
This type of conversation makes my day. I can't wait to see what happens. This is the reason I love FCS vs FBS. FBS doesn't have a playoff, so 90% of the 3rd ranked team claims that their team is the champ. Bull. Give me a playoff any day.
Besides, from what I've been seeing in the CAA this year, and my having seen many FBS schools play, I feel that the top 20 FCS schools could easily beat the bottom 40 FBS schools. I feel this is the reason that ODU (757 area code) has been getting recruits that were being pursued by FBS schools.

You're right. MY seven ARE evenly matched. That's why the final four will come from those seven. MFVC is the MEAC of the mid-west.

Five straight years we've had a CAA team IN the NC game. I feel very confident in my prediction that at least one of the final four participants will hail from the CAA.

Watch out for Towson. They have a running game with West and a coach with grapefruit-sized cojones that makes them dangerous.
While I feel JMU was the BEST team that we played, Towson was the most opportunistic and persistent. ODU would love to have another crack at them, preferably in the greasy pizza championship game.
Delaware cleaned ODU's clock...and we destroyed Towson in the second half of that game..especially in the 4th quarter.
4th quarter stats:
UD Defense allowed -1 (that’s a negative) yards rushing on 8 carries.
UD Defense allowed 52 yards passing on 5-12 attempts (41.7% completion rate and only 4.33 YPA) with two INTs.
Defense let up zero points.
Only 7 points given up in the third quarter...and zero after the halfway point in the third quarter.
Should we just hand you the national championship now? lol
If you are so great, why aren't you in the playoffs? PS, we played you in A. our worst game of the season by a large margin and B. without our current starting QB who has absolutely shredded the CAA.
I'd love to play Delaware again this year, unfortunately for you guys, we won't get the chance.

I'd love an annual game against an MVC or any other top FCS conference opponent. Logistically (read financially) it's hard to see how it would happen.
That said, with the comparisons that have been posted here (and they're all fair), it's a shame for the CAA's resume that UNH wastes space in the playoffs every single year to perform their patented quarterfinal choke job.

It wasn't just your QB who was bad...your WRs couldn't get away from our DBs...the young DBs who have gotten much better, and your defense couldn't get a stop. That wouldn't change.
Run along "Little Pipes"...you have some advertisements to run asking for a "Daddy" or two. Just make sure not to invite tampajag...that would be like ODU playing against an SEC team.
Northcoast wrote:Put enough of them in every year and match them up with all those weak conf winners and it would be hard not to get to the championship game.
4 or 5 CAA teams in the tourney is a fairly recent occurence. The only year where you could really build a case for the CAA making the NC game because of so many other CAA teams was 2004. JMU and W&M met in the semis after W&M beat UD in the quarters, so the CAA was almost guaranteed a spot. However, the Big Sky had their chance that year and blew it.

Sorry to break this to ya, but the griz won't be in the final four.......your gonna lose to Wofford your first game. Seriously though....I think the griz have been pretty inconsistent this year....why all the optimism now?? The MEAC of the midwest!?? Your off your meds again aren't ya? We will see what happens in the playoffs if we get MVFC vs BSC. I 'll say one thing, that if MSU's D-line hasn't gotten any bigger/better they won't want to face anyone from the MVFC, because if they aren't it would be the same result as last year. No smack intended, but I was almost shocked as to how much our O-line shoved those boys around, I mean we didn't even hardly try to throw it so they even knew what was coming almost every time and they still couldn't stop it. That is why I think the Griz will probably win the brawl, because I doubt you guys turn the ball over a few times in the red zone or should I say 1 yard line zone like ya did last year, unless the cats D-line is much improved, which maybe it is I have no idea. Well good luck and here's to seeing ya in Fargo in a few weeks....win or lose that would be a hell of a good time!
