The interwebs. The feed has been terrible. I went to their fan site and they were experiencing the same problems.

Didn't the Griz get dinged for that a couple years ago?

I thought the rule was if you catch the ball in the endzone and go out the back it is just a touchback? Or is that ONLY in the NFL?

the way I interpretted that, the returner didn't go out the back of the endzone, but either caught the ball in the field of play and retreated into the endzone, or caught it in the endzone, came out, then went back in.

Usually, even if the ball is caught just outside of the endzone and the "momentum of the kick" carries the returner into the endzone, they award the touchback, but if they are in the endzone and come out then back in, it is a safety.

In last week's WIU@wisconsin game, the WIU returner muffed the opening kickoff in the endzone, the ball dribbles out to the one yard line (or half yard, whatever), the returner picks up the ball, returns into the endzone and takes a knee. They initially ruled it a touchback, but then it was reviewed and ruled a safety.

R-Frosh Al Cobb throws for 338 yards on 18-25 passing, 1 TD. For the year, Cobb's passer rating is a stellar 198.8. Don't think we've had a QB in eons that can put these type of numbers. And we get 3 more years of this.

I didn't see the Bobcat play, but on the Griz one, the guy caught it at the very back of the endzone and stepped out with the catch...then the official signaled Safety
