And how good really is nova, from a national perspective? They gave up a ton of points and yards to a JMU team that just looked inept at times against a UD defense that no one thinks is any good? I'm not convinced this is a very good CAA this year, top and bottom.

The simple fact that you're citing a "good" loss should tell you all you need to know about how dismal the I-AA landscape is this year. Used to be wins were the measuring stick for programs like Montana. How sad.

They still are. But I'm not going to hang my head over giving a team that's won 28 games in a row all they can handle at their place. Hope we get another shot at them in December.

Well, 93, I was in section 205, turn 2. My ushering score: one possible heart attack (summoned EMTs), one abandoned beer cooler (summoned security when not picked up for 10 minutes). Two Mexicans showed up later, 10 minutes apart, looking for their cooler, both 5 sheets to the wind, and I sent them to security. One shrugged and went to the rail looking for Danica's car. Murica.

Wasn't sure if I was going till the Sat night, since was going to be by myself if I went. Had stayed in MD after the JMU/UD game. Was just going to grab a $50 Gen Admin seat in Turn 3, which they weren't selling anymore, which was BS, because that section wasn't close to full. I had sat before in the Allison Section, and Turns 3 & 1. I like sitting on the ends in on shorter tracks because you don't have to ping pong your head. Had never sat in Turn 2. I knew Turn 2 had a history of being the spot for the best wrecks, so I got a seat high in 210 (1st Turn 2 section over from turn 1). No GD multi car wrecks, not many cautions, and a boring race. Wish I had just watched from home and saved the $$.

I'd have to say I agree with Griz on Montana. Championships are not won anymore in September. You just have to be healthy and get in the playoffs. I actually expect NDSU to lose a game in conference. The Valley is by far the best league this year. If they don't lose a game, then they are really far above anyone else. Would like to see how EWU's offense does against that defense. We can only hope the CAA and Big Sky can get 3 representatives each in the playoffs. Too early to start speculating on what teams are in the running or to hope for 4. The MVC will get 4 at least.

True, but like 89 said, you also need to show up in December. Full credit to Coastal, but there's no excuse for getting blown out of your own stadium against a southern team in zero degree weather. Hope this year will be different.
