Well, UD is east of the Mason Dixon line.

But most of the fans that come to the games live north of it. ;)

No, it's not. UD fucked up long ago. Longest streak of 20k+ in I-AA and they completely took the fanbase for granted.

BTW, have fun drawing 23k in I-A.

Only because we’ll be constrained to Bridgeforth’s current 25k capacity, which we could exceed for all but 1-2 games (sellout 4-5 of 6, avg between 24k). And also the 1st 2-3 seasons JMU might not be that good, .500 +/-. Since moveup announcment made until Nov, with most recruits committed by then, & early signing date Dec, won’t even have 1st full FBS recruit class till next year. Won’t have 5 full FBS recruit classes till 2027.

When Bridgeforth is expanded to 35k by the end of the decade (my guess) I think we’ll be drawing around what ASU is now (they drew 30.4k last season). And I expect some 10-3/11-3/12-2 type seasons in the latter half of the decade.

In other news, I bought UD season tix for the first time in 9 years in December after Carty was hired. I was at the UD season ticketholder/coaches meet and greet on Saturday. I have a good feeling about the program. We're going to be a lot better than people think this fall.

You can bookmark it.

And I changed the 22-24k before expansion to 24k. Sellout 25k, but overflow capacity is closer to 26k. Looking at the last 3 seasons before the China Virus attendance avg regular season/excluding attendance avg killing playoffs:
2017: 24,841 (6 games)
2018: 25,014 (4 games, excluded opener moved up to Thur night on 3-4 days notice due to Hurricane, still over 18k)
2019: 22,069 (6 games)

FBS should be at least a 25%-30% attendance boost if you have the capacity and are winning.

Those teams, no, but the Sunbelt East with App State, Georgia Southern, Marshall, CCU, and ODU will be appealing. I'd kill to see those teams at Delaware Stadium instead of Albany, Stony Brook, Monmouth, Rhode Island, etc.

This is an entertaining division:

Agreed. That's what they'll end up being when P5 pulls chocks. That's why anyone in current FCS who wants to stay in the second tier needs to get to or be ready for G5 fairly soon, as G5 will become de facto FCS at that point.
