If Delaware has no plans to move up, then I'm not sure what you and other UD fans are so cocky about (?).
You're continually challenged by the ability to separate fantasy from reality. Alas, speculation on message boards by fans who know very little about the interworkings of the ADs and board rooms of universities is about as worthwhile as a bucket of spit. Don't confuse common sense for cockiness.
Your complete lack of understanding of what is going on in Newark is completely understandable; it's just funny to read you pontificate on subjects way beyond your reach. Here's the reality. Like several other teams in the CAA, UD's president has stated that the school has no immediate plans for FBS FB but the school continues to evaluate their options, implement changes and make additional plans for FB infrastructure improvements, including a new athletic performance center, 8K additional seats and other stadium enhancements. UD has already made several improvements to help the FB program (including new practice fields, video scoreboard, playing field resurfacing, etc.) and is in the silent fundraising phase for the larger stadium enhancements. The school is also in the midst of a major fundraising effort to bolster AD funding.
What's UMaine's plan for additional FB facility and infrastructure investments? If they exist, they certainly haven't been articulated to the media.

I'll believe it when I see it.
And you seem to confuse me discussing the possible movement of various programs out of the CAA and its effect on the conference with me giving a fvck about UD's program. I just find it laughable that many UD fans (yourself included) keep acting like UD football operates in a vaccum. That's OK.......keep drinking the hen p*ss if it makes you feel better.

To see the changes already implemented, all you have to do is come to Newark or, easier still, use your Google toolbar. In the meantime, you can continue the silliness of discussing and speculating on the future of FB programs you know nothing about. Reality will just keep zooming by.
It's pretty obvious UD understands its FB program doesn't operate in a vaccum, which is exactly why the school continues to make and plan for additional capital FB improvements. We already have one of the largest stadiums in the FCS and are near the top in attendance, even before future phases are implemented. That's the reality.

How so? There are still plenty of quality FCS programs near Delaware for the Hens to schedule. The New England schools could all shut down, JMU and Nova could both move up and the Hens will be just fine.
Is there any talk of Maine reviving football?
No need to get all upset.
I'm not talking about Delaware scheduling OOC games.......I'm talking about the CAA membership and the effects on Delaware if Maine, UNH, UMass, Villanova, JMU, ODU, and Georgia State eventually depart, dipsh*t.
This thread proves how delusional Delaware fans really are.
I'm not the one who's is upset. All I did was ask you to explain your post. You're the one who is resorting to name calling.
This thread proves how delusional Maine's one fan really is.

For a program that you don't give a fuck about, you sure do have a lot of posts on this thread.
It appears that you do give a fuck about it, you just don't know anything about it.

No......I REALLY don't give a sh*t about UD's program.........but I do enjoy riling up the UD fans and knocking them down a peg.
But seriously.......it is quite comical to see UD fans act as if NOTHING will or would affect their program. It could be the End of Days......and UD fans would just claim that "everything is alright".
Anyway.......I provide opinions and only time will tell how close I am to being right or wrong.
With the scoop that UD will be moving to the Big East that crack reporter jstclmet got straight from KC Keeler at Delaware practice yesterday ( ), the stadium solution for Nova has become clear.
There will now be a Big East compatible stadium just 40 miles to the south of Radnor. I'm sure UD and Nova can work out the details on how much Nova will pay us to play in our stadium.
UD is in a unique situation with everything going on now with FBS/FCS. Why would we rush into a rash decision? UD will do what's best for UD when the dust settles. We can stay in FCS and upgrade our stadium or jump to FBS and build a new one. We have the land, the support and endowment to do so if necessary. Either way, Delaware will be fine and sell out every home game and continue to rake in the dough.

I agree with all of that except the sellout part. Looking at the numbers, we only had two sellouts (22K+) last year (West Chester and UMass). We only got 18,433 (Hofstra) for the final home game, 20,639 (JMU), 20,585 (DelSt), and 20,800 (Richmond). Winning and another playoff run, of course, will cure all of that, but ratcheting up donations along with more 6-5 or 5-6 seasons could get ugly. IMHO, UD really needs to make a firm statement about timelines on facilities improvements. That would bring in the dough and the recruits.

Winning cures all woes! We should upgrade the Tub as well as build a new one. The old stadium can have multiple uses and bring in more revenue while the new stadium would be for football only. Make a statement get the community, students and alumni excited about it.
I'd like to propose that U of D pool it's resources and annex the state of Maine, and then make it legal to tar and feather their flagship university's most chemically unbalanced fan.

What makes you think that you are riling anyone up? It's a message board, people read stuff and sometimes they respond. You posted something that was worthy of a response, it doesn't mean that anyone was riled up, it just means that the board worked the way it was supposed to.
