I think we were at the Iron City Grill for dinner Friday night - nice place, on a corner near campus. Do I recall the name correctly? Ditto on the 2011 NC game. What's the weather in Dallas like in January? Maybe it will snow.

Oh I was refering to some of the stuff said about Montana a few (or coupe) of years ago on AGS when there was some back and forth over it between you and I. Just a few posts but I got the distinct impression that you weren't a fan. Could have just been some banter for the thread as is done here quite often.

Gonna be fun having a little series and going to Boone to meet up with an old friend or two and meet some new ones when we get there and get the party rolling. Look forward to meeting you in 2012 unless we get an earlier opportunity.

You have a better memory than I. The only team from Montana that I recall saying some hostile words about was MSU after their antics in Boone during a playoff game in Dec. of 2006. I meant that. If I said something about UM, I must have been just pulling your chain.

Wow! This post brings back memories! I went thru undergrad cursin' Floridians. This was due to the fact that back then we had to drive to Blowing Rock to buy beer (it was uphill both ways!). The Floridians drove like they never saw a curve in the road in their life (translation: SLOWLY!!). If they only knew ... they'd a switched their license plates to NC tags.

Anyway, back to the topic ... I cannot WAIT to personally welcome all Montana fans to the Rock!

Wow! This post brings back memories! I went thru undergrad cursin' Floridians. This was due to the fact that back then we had to drive to Blowing Rock to buy beer (it was uphill both ways!). The Floridians drove like they never saw a curve in the road in their life (translation: SLOWLY!!). If they only knew ... they'd a switched their license plates to NC tags.

Anyway, back to the topic ... I cannot WAIT to personally welcome all Montana fans to the Rock!

I've got an intimate little party area pretty much in the middle of nowhere five miles from King Street; suitable for a gathering of several hundred friends and enemas. Got a good-sized pond (da Griz have to bathe, right? ), small covered deck for a band, 200-amp service, fire pit, etc. No 'facilities' but it's safe to assume a wild Griz can poop in the woods - LOL - the rest of us could use the Porta-Johns.

Call up the Woodlands for some catered pig with fixin's and 'happy time' could bust out. No doubt some legal representation may be required

I don't want to 'name names' but I may have been loosely affiliated with all those "Drive Right -- This Ain't Florida" bumper stickers 35 or so years ago ... (We kid --- We kid ...)

This right here looks REAL PROMISING. I was just talking to Appaholic on Saturday night (he was drunk dialing again) about needing to start planning a party for Friday night or maybe even Thursday night for a joint Montana/App party and he and a friend were gonna start looking for the proper place for it.

OK, I don't recall going to "Reds". It seems to me that after the Iron Horse Grill, my 2 sons & I caught the bus back to the hotel to crash. So, you must be thinking of other App fans. There were a number (of App fans) there at the Iron Horse that night.

Anyway, Kidd Brewer Stadium is somewhat different than UM's. It is just as intimidating as UM's, but in different ways. Whereas the fans are up close & personal out there, ours are some distance from the field. No question UM noise factor is greater, but it is not insignificant in Boone. And, as nice and picturesque as UM's field is, in my opinion, ASU's is better. The recent upgrades are something else. UM will get a warm welcome to The Rock, I'll guarantee!!!

And, BTW, Kidd Brewer was a coach at ASU during the 1930's. One year (1938, I think?) an ASU team he coached went undefeated AND UNSCORED ON during the regular season. Actually, ASU played in a bowl that year & lost 7 - 3 (or some such small score). But, I don't care what level of football we're talking about, to go unscored on all season is un-flippin'-believable. Could you imagine the accolades if some team did it this season?

No, I believe that was the year before his freshman year...otherwise, it wouldn't have been that close.
