Neither the SoCon nor Big South has revealed their reasons and I doubt they ever will. There's no point to do so and as we'll be playing numerous SoCon and Big South teams in the future I doubt you'll hear more on the topic then what's already been said. No point burning any bridges.ODUalum11 wrote:sorry, if this is being restated but what was the exact reason the BS turn down UNCC?Saint3333 wrote:
Can't wait to see the spin UNCC officials put on this once it happens to cover the back peddling they've done over the past few months.
It was the best move possible when they walked from the CAA the first time, but UNCC grossly over estimated their position. I'm still shocked the Big South turned them down.

I think it's pretty clear that neither the SoCon, or the Big South was interested in a temporary, football only member. CAA is not going to be interested in that either. If UNCC officials offer some kind of assurance that an FBS move is nothing more than a future possibility, and they are committed to FCS for the time being, they might get some consideration. An all-sport move will probably be required though.49RFootballNow wrote:Neither the SoCon nor Big South has revealed their reasons and I doubt they ever will. I guess it is due to FBS desires.
