I think some of you are forgetting this is a ranking system. Right now the system has the elite programs rangked like this:

1) Montana 24/25
2) NDSU 23/24
3) YSU 20
4) UNI 20
5) SIU 19
6) EWU 17
7) SUU 15

So....because Montana makes the playoffs 17 years straight...12 straight BSC titles...and they finally miss out they are on a decline? WOW.
NDSU finally finished over .500 last season....they can finally talk shit.

This is why I don't like to talk to re'tards. It brings you down to their level and then they kick your ass with experience.

I can't believe you honestly think this crap, and rate your recent success a 5 over the GRIZ's 4 (on your asinine scale of ranking). You even stated the last five years as recent...

It's to easy...TO EASY!!!!!!!  :D :) :ohno:
In the past 5 years NDSU has been very successful. They have only been playoff eligible for 2 years and already have 1 run to the third round of the playoffs in the game that gave the FCS a black-eye.

In the years they weren't eligible the BISON achieved several long runs @ #!. Won the GWFC. Beat a number of BCS/FBS squads and generally became one of the nations top 10 teams and #1 in the MVFC pre season for this year.

Where-as NDSUs trend line is up, Montana has a line trending down.
Show me the evidence of "trending" down? Define it with your response as well.

(If Montana is "trending" down, this has been the best trend ever set BTW  )

I already broke down NDSU and I got 265... Not sure how he came up with 23.

Montanas recent success trend line is down:

EVIDENCE:
In the playoffs 2009 Line at a high point
out of the playoffs 2010 line at a lower point

CONCLUSION: Trend line down

It was a false loss though. Didn't count.

So their loss to UNI doesn't count, because....well I'm not sure why, but I've been told so. Their loss vs EWU doesn't count. Their win vs Kansas should count as 13.....

A playoff loss is much higher on the scale giving the NDSU recent success trend line a "flatter" slope than the steep drop-off shown by the Montana recent success trend line. CONCLUSION: NDSU +5 Montana +4

15 Points + Attendance of all watching + total post count + avg females in your stadium + ingredients to cherry pie (or apple) - avg men in your stadium / JBB x lakesbison = a perfect score

Well done sir :notworthy:

SDSU:

1) attendance _+3
2) overall tradition +3
3) quality of facilities +3
4) recent success +3
5) competitiveness +4 = 16

I would say the top 3 in the above list of schools analyzed so far are the elite programs.

UPDATED ELITE RANKING:

1) Montana 24/25
2) NDSU 23/24
3) GSU 21
4) YSU 20
5) UNI 20
6) SIU 19
7) EWU 17
8) SUU 15
GSU:

1) attendance +5
2) overall tradition +5
3) quality of facilities +5
4) recent success +3
5) competitiveness +3 = 21

Too bad about that NDSU cancellation and the huge loss they suffered at home at the hands of the BISON. Its unrealistic, knowing those facts, to rate them any higher than 3 on competitiveness is unrealistic.

Eh, split national titles were obviously more common back in the day of wire service rankings. I don't see a problem with the 1963 title - just part of the system back then. And the UNI was Northern Illinois, not Northern Iowa.
