If Weber had beaten EWU, they would have gotten the top 4 seed.

Re: 2009 Schedules
You need to understand how the current system works. It's all about the benjamins, Ryan. Once Weber lost the seed (NOT Montana's fault, by the way that Weebs chose to choke away a gauranteed seed against an average EWU team), then highest bid wins out. Weber got tight-fisted and had to go on the road. Too bad, so sad. Tell your AD to pony up next time (course, that'll probably be in 20 years, but what the hell, huh?) and you won't HAVE this bitch.Wildcat Ryan wrote:Then tell me, How is it that Weber gets so screwed that even though they beat montana the first time, so they get the tiebreaker over UM, and Weber gets the Conferences automatic bid to the playoffs, but instead of getting the fourth seed and playing at home like they deserved, they had to play at a team who's conference doesnt even get an automatic bid to the playoffs, then play at a team who they had already beaten earlier that year?
Weber losing to EWU took a big sigh of relieve out of the NCAA, cause they were going to screw Weber and give the home games to Montana anyway, and since Weber lost to EWU their was no controversy like their would have been if Weber had won, and they had givin the the Home games to Montana

Exadtly dback. And how many did JMU hane in 2004? I guess you have to be more than a recent bandwagonner to understand the history of how it all goes down even when you are a team like JMU that has a good home crowd.dbackjon wrote:OH - and how many home games did Richmond have?

Re: 2009 Schedules
Richmond had one home game last year. JMU had 0 when the won it all in 2004. Give the Weber guy a break as it has been so long since they have been in the playoffs they have had no need to actually get familiar with how the playoffs work and how home games are determined.dbackjon wrote:OH - and how many home games did Richmond have?

Agreed. But theres' no need to disrespect someone ELSE'S team to build up yours. Weber was good in their own right. Period.dbackjon wrote:Which is good.Wildcat Ryan wrote:Ok, all whining aside, I guess Im just passionate about my team.

Dude passionate is fine and all but lay off the absolute excuse making stuff as it takes away from your credibility pretty badly. Weber state received an equal and fair treatment as did the other 15 teams in the field.Wildcat Ryan wrote:Ok, all whining aside, I guess Im just passionate about my team.

Re: 2009 Schedules
And that REALLY was our only point. Weber DIDN'T take care of business in the season finale and that cost them. Maybe they thought EWU was gona roll over....maybe they went in overconfident. Whatever the reason, it cost them a seed, a guaranteed home game, and caused them to have to travel to Montana instead of vice versa. Doesn't make Montana the devil....Wildcat Ryan wrote:Your right AZ, teams need to take care of their own business, what happens, happens and no amount of whining is going to change it......I mean look at the BCS
I look forward to next year's game...

Re: 2009 Schedules
I hope Weber State goes into Montana next year and plays better than they did last year, Weber always comes oh so close to winning there but never can get over the hump, Weber's lost only 2 offensive starters, including our "hitman". But we lost 8 of our 11 defensive starters. Weber usually has a top defense, but who knows.

Depends brother, it didn't stop the Griz this year. If their offense can hold them in the first 6-7 games then they could be a real problem again this year for anyone they face.AZGrizFan wrote:uhhhh, that doesn't bode well for next year then.Wildcat Ryan wrote:I hope Weber State goes into Montana next year and plays better than they did last year, Weber always comes oh so close to winning there but never can get over the hump, Weber's lost only 2 offensive starters, including our "hitman". Like i said, Weber usually doesnt have any difficulty in getting a good defense. Especially with Ronnie Mac as thier head coach, the guy can recruit. There is no way players like Higgins or Smith would have come to Weber if it werent for Mcbride.
