What exactly do you find so incomprehensible about this wonderful (and spot-on) breakdown of the final four?SimpleJack wrote:WTF did he say? Well, lets see. The great crop of seeds that have a very good opinion of this year has me a bit confused, unless the Farmers Almanac is predicting a wet Spring. And that "best defense that is going to play the rest of the best that one the rest of the offense" probably made sense to me before, but not now. Guess I'll get on over to Warm Springs then.Bear wrote:What exactly do you find so incomprehensible about this wonderful (and spot-on) breakdown of the final four?SimpleJack wrote: WTF did he say? Well Montana is corn. And North Dakota State are carrots. So obviously we know carrots are not a Friday vegetable, but they are play rest of the best of the offense, which is a very good opinion.SimpleJack wrote:WTF did he say? Yeah, I'm new to all of this, but shaunpollards analysis has won me over, so I'm gonna go:Silenoz wrote:Well Montana is corn. And North Dakota State are carrots. No, no, no. There is only one competitor who can call sagebrush home and they are clearly the favorite.SimpleJack wrote:Yeah, I'm new to all of this, but shaunpollards analysis has won me over, so I'm gonna go:Silenoz wrote: Well Montana is corn. Heres the way I interpret shaunpollards analysis. Sagebrush dies away and turns into a tumbleweed and is gone after only 1 year. Although I must say that with a good wind, that tumbleweed is "Texas Fast". Carrots aren't really worth much except for feeding their poultry neighbors to the South, the Jackrabbits. Cotton speaks for itself, sturdy and reliable. And of course corn is a staple and you know it's going to be there every fall, just as good as last year.kalm wrote:No, no, no. Except he is completely wrong about sagebrush, it can actually live quite a long time. Maybe he's thinking of rabbitbrush which of course changes the whole dynamic of his analysis hence not POTW material. Re: Rank the Final Four
Having never been to East Texas and admitting that I know very little about sagebrush, I stand corrected. I don't know what grows there to tell you the truth, nor do I care. I believe Kosia is the plant that turns into tumbleweeds here in Montana. Either way, I don't care about POTW unless the prize is a night with that woman at the bottom of AZGrizFans posts. If she is the prize, I will step up my game BIG TIME!!!kalm wrote:Except he is completely wrong about sagebrush, it can actually live quite a long time. Re: Rank the Final Four
I want to know every team's record away from home in the playoffs. If you are on the road it is because you are not seeded or a lesser seed. Therefore you are the underdog and supposed to lose....so who cares about Montana's away record - I doubt anyone else's is stellar. JMU is the only team I can think of that ran the table away from home so that tells you something.
"Born in other countries, yet believing you could be happy in this, our laws acknowledge, as they should do, your right to join us in society, conforming, as I doubt not you will do, to our established rules. That these rules shall be as equal as prudential considerations will admit, will certainly be the aim of our legislatures, general and particular." --Thomas Jefferson, letter to Hugh White, 1801

You could have been outbid or the seeds could be rediculous.

Until we beat them, I have this as the order.

Cotton is grown in south and southeast Texas. Sagebrush is in west Texas. East Texas has pine forests............and not much else.

Looks like I called it correctly again! Montana at #1?

I've got it like this:
1. Montana
2. Sam Houston State
3. NDSU
4. Georgia Southern
3 &4 are pretty interchangeable...
1. NDSU (TIE)
1. Sam Houston (TIE)
3. GSU
4. Montana
Beating a team that has been overranked all sseason, much like MSU another team Montana beat, is not a measure of greatness. The performance at TN was also poor. UNI didnt have one good win all year and were convincingly beaten in both their big games. The only thing you can say is a good team should beat an inferior team by a large margin and all the winners did that. They are all good, but some not as good as others. Besides winning the BSC has not traditionally been a launching point for an NC. Thats a measure of the conference strength nationally.
