I look forward to making the trip to SLO in the future as well. This renewal of the Hornet-Mustang rivalry will serve the bottom line of both schools. This game should crack 12k at Hornet Stadium.

There are things I like about our schedule and don’t like:
  • • I hate the 2 money games. This tells me financial issues are in worse shape that everyone realizes and hopefully this isn’t the norm.
    • I do like that at least one FBS game is winnable. NM State is FBS in name only and I would like our chances even more if we didn’t have so many question marks this offseason.
    • I like the balance of home and away. Last season our first home game wasn’t until week 6.
    • I like that every game is a D-1 game, no non-counters on the schedule.
    • I don’t like the late bye week. I prefer it be more towards the middle of the season but any bye week is better than no bye week.

I like everything SD has said here, except (to some degree, anyway) #1. While money issues MAY be involved, that is only part of the story. Given the state of affairs on the Left Coast, we'd be looking at THREE FBS games if it weren't for the cheesy non-counter against UNC. Were we back East, that wouldn't be the case. It would either be that or scheduling a D-II, which NEITHER of us want. You are right about the THIRD Western Aggies being FINO, though. Colorado will be a MUCH tougher game, but I wouldn't write that one off, either. Colorado was tied for last in the Pac-12 South with Arizona and in a THREE way tie for last in conference with Wazzu. Given that we beat Oregon State (only a half-game better than Colorado overall) last year, I firmly believe that Colorado will ALSO be a winnable game. Shift that game to Stanford, though, and we're looking at a drubbing. I'll still chalk Colorado up as a loss for sake of argument, but a win would not surprise me in the least, especially if our kicking game is as "fixed" as our guys at SacBuzz claim.

Yikes, I forgot about that. Ours is almost that bad this year; we're @Idaho, @Wazzu, BYE, @Weber, then finally at home in week 5 vs. the Griz. :ohno:

But, at least we also finally scheduled some winnable FBS games... I'm fairly certain we'll beat Idaho, and if we can play to our potential early on, we can beat the Cougs as well. They will be better immediately with Leach though, and will put up a lot of points. Thankfully Baldwin is familiar with Leach, as his first game with EWU was against Texas Tech. Maybe Wulff can give him some insight on the players as well.

Random note: How do you type the bullet points and do the indentation? The tab key doesn't work in these text boxes.

Yeah it sucked, but at least we ass raped UM in our first home game. Here is hoping EWU does that same during its first home game too. :thumb:

As far as the bullets go, that is proprietary information only a select few are allowed to have. :coffee:

BTW what is up with the sig? It looks like the beginning of a cheaply made porno.

As "Brock" said, it's Wisconsin QB Russell Wilson and his wife/family as he gets the call from Pete Carroll that the Hawks were drafting him. She looks a little :loko:

SE:

For the bulleting, I think you can do that by wrapping one of the function buttons above the text box in the full editor around your list.

But there's an easier way (I think). Type it up in Word as a bulleted list, then cut and paste. That might be too much work for you (it is for me, too), but short of having Chris post a tutorial, the functionality of Word is pretty easy.

it must be an issue with the CSS of the site theme. It will be fixed when I release the new CS theme later this summer (hopefully) :)

I was lookin' at the schedules of ODU's future opponents and Hampton only has ten games listed.

Any MEAC fans know what's up with that?

From the Newport News Daily Press (May 21, 2012):
Hampton will play just 10 football games in 2012, with two bye weeks in the schedule released Monday by the school.

The Pirates, coming off a 7-4 record in head coach Donovan Rose's third year, have open dates on Sept. 22 and Oct. 6.

HU last played a 10-game schedule in 1990, when it was a Division II school.

"We were trying to get in talks with a lot of folks from all different areas," said Donovan Rose, going into his fourth season as HU head coach. "Nobody was available for that particular date."

Rose said no game was canceled for the 2012 season; the slots just weren't filled. He said 11 games have already been scheduled for 2013 and 2014.
I find it interesting that they have 11 games scheduled for the next two years, when 12 regular season games are permitted. So file this thread away for when we can go through this discussion again.
