They were just making sure we can't back out of playing every North Dakota school.
Toughen up a little Z. EWU and MSU have agreed to play each other every year regardless.

In a couple years you'll be saying "Thank god we don't have to play UND every year like the 'scats".....

You can't use the word "Scats" that is a griz word, and not a....whatever mascot you are....word.
Huge loss. The ISU board said they are getting hit with injuries. I think another one of their key defenders was missing some camp due to injury (a DB I think).
Hey guys, been a while since I last posted on here but now that I've taking care of some things and with football season around the corner I'm looking forward to another great year of FCS football! In particular rebounding from a disappointing 3-9 season for my T-Birds last year which with our schedule I feel is possible since we dodge Montana, EWU and Idaho State. When breaking it down:
-Loss @ Utah State: the Aggies have become a pretty good FPS school, however will be a good measuring game especially in regards to how improve our offense is.
-Toss Up @ SDSU: Was a hard fought game last season with too many mistakes made on offense. I list this as a toss up since SDSU lost Zach Zenner and they're starting quarterback and best wide receiver among other players.
-Win vs. UNC: The Bears come to Cedar City to open Big Sky Conference play. Northern Colorado has improved but I don't see them beating us at home.
-Win vs. Brevard College: No idea how they got a North Carolina D2 school to play in Utah but it will be a long trip back.
-Win @ Weber State: Agreat game last year and another victory against our in state rivals. We still pull out a win as I feel we are much better off than the Wildcats in terms of rebuilding.
-Toss Up vs. Sac State: The Hornets lost their star quarterback and wide receiver but still return 8 starters on an offense who kicked our teeth than last year. Listed as a toss up because of that and the fact we're home with 2 weeks to prepare.
-Win @ UC-Davis: The Aggies return 14 starters however I still think we have a really good chance of winning even in their house.
-Loss vs Cal Poly: Lost in a shootout last season in their house and expecting another great game this season. If we can prevent the Mustangs from jumping out by three touchdowns early I feel we have a shot especially at home but it will be tough against a really good Mustang team. Will list as a loss since the game is in the Mustangs favor.
-Loss @ Montana State: I expect a shootout since Montana State's defense isn't great but the Cats have the better offense, they pull away late.
-Win vs. Portland State: We get the Vikings at home against the team with an identical record last season.
-Toss Up vs. NAU: Our other rival in the Big Sky comes to Cedar City this season, listed it as a toss up because I don't know much about the returning starters of NAU and this game always seems to be close.
I will grant that some of these picks are a little optimistic however I don't feel that they are out of line. Worst case scenario 5-6 (4-4 in Big Sky) and Best case scenario 8-3 (6-2 in Big Sky).

Welcome back!
Last season was disappointing on defense. It seems like you guys haven't recovered fully from losing Justin Ena as DC.
Lamb is known for coaching very physical teams so it would be nice to see you guys regain some of your swagger on defense. The offense should continue to improve like it did last season.
A couple of notes: SDSU returns Weineke who is one of the top 5 WR's in FCS and their back up QB, Lujan is very capable.

Are you sure Davis has 21 starters returning?
According to the Big Sky Conference media guide, Davis is only returning 5 starters on offense and 9 on defense.
Just proves you can't believe everything written on the internet lol, ironically I got it from their website but I'll correct it. Honestly I think what helps us out the most this season is our schedule, dodging Eastern Washington, Montana and Idaho State with their high powered offenses helps a bunch.

I agree. You guys got awful misty eyed when we suggested that our receivers had the potential to be as good as yours.
Actually it was started with your butthurt over Hendo not being listed as 1st team AA or something but keep wishing. Your new system should help your WR stats and once you guys are able to recruit and develop EWU level talent at the position we can have a real debate.

Not possible. EWU has the top 5 WRs in FCS.
Probably just top two if we're being fair. But I'm glad you guys are finally starting to get it.

SUUTbird-
I'm noticing a pattern in the NAU-SUU rivalry that, at least recently, the road team seems to win. Both teams seem to be snake bitten at home. I've got to find a way to make a road trip to Cedar City for the rivalry game one of these years.
