I grouped a couple of Rivals together since they seem to have the same mindsets...

So you're saying that NDSU is a clear cut number 1, and this thread is really about the 2nd most delusional fans??

Good call. It's quickly becoming South Carolina fans. I heard a guy the other day talking about how great of a "program" USC (the weaker one) has. Give me a break...I think (could be wrong) they've had ONE 10 win season EVER and didn't win a bowl game until 1994.

How come ODU, the second coming of the Bison fans, isn't on this list?

They just aren't as numerous as San Diego or NDSU, at least here (which is the only national FCS site I visit). Back in the old country, when USD was winning, there would be times where the entire first page of the FCS forum was nothing but whale vagina threads. Then, the Bison fans came out of the woodwork in droves, claiming a mythical national championship. Here, there are only 4 or 5 ODU posters, and only 1 or 2 of them are completely delusional.

You are right the 10 win season was 1984 and the first bowl win was actually in 1995 (although it was part of the 1994 season). Sorry dislike these guys enough that I can't give Carolina 2 days just to bump there first bowl win by a year.

If you guys single out USC, you have to lump the Clempsun fans in there too. Around here, you'd think they're national championship bound every year pre-season, only to have their hopes dashed quickly. They're playing some decent ball right now, but in a VERY weak ACC it really doesn't matter much.

Yep...the one's who are delusional show the same level of that the bunch of San Diego and the massive # of NDSU fans showed in their era...ODU just doesn't have the numbers...

True, my mistake...we'll go with 1995. Hell, Appalachian had a bowl win before USC.

I hear ya. But, at least they have a National Championship to fall back on. At least they have media people saying they can win, no one expects the Gamevaginas to win. But, you can pretty much insert any ACC team into "_________ sucks" this year. Especially, when the best ACC football team in the state is Duke.

Not to mention, Duke has a better conference record than Virginia Tech, Miami.... and the rest of the ACC minus Georgia tech, who was my preseason pick for ACC champ. Man, that ACC is the power house conference they keep telling us about.


Should probably have included everyone in the Big Sky minus Montana... seems like every year is going to be the year that they take down the mighty Griz.
