Zach MacDowall transfers to CCU from Wake Forest where he was the third string quarterback behind Riley Skinner and Brett Hodges. The redshirt freshman will have three years of eligibility and will compete with returning starter Will Richardson, Jamie Childers and Sean Fortson for playing time under center.

Re: Coastal gets Wake Forest QB transfer
what type of QB is he? drop-back/pocket type or is he a runner?
My mind is a raging torrent, flooded with rivulets of thought cascading into a waterfall of creative alternatives.

From what i've seen on film, he's a pro style drop back gun slinger. As a senior he completed 65% for 2400yds and 24tds.

Do you think he can handle it when he's playing against bigger, more experienced players in front of thousands? 65% completed?! That's a great stat have in your corner. How'd he do at WF?coastal89 wrote:From what i've seen on film, he's a pro style drop back gun slinger. As a senior he completed 65% for 2400yds and 24tds.
Turns out I might be a little gay. 89Hen 11/7/17

He wasn't recruited as a QB. He'll most likely line up as a WR since he's 6'4. His HS team ran alot of triple option with very little passing. CCU is going to be running the spread again this year.GoApps70 wrote:I bet that QB that committed to Coastal last weekend feels Foolish.
Mark, This kid was a redshirt at WF in 2006 and didn't get in last year as a 3rd stringer behind Riley Skinner. He's still a solid addition to our team. I'm just glad we have options at that position this coming season so William can get needed bench time.
