Will it be: The big fluffy
or
They never play any D1 FBS teams
or
Both
(Never mind that the Big Fluffy is # 2 on the GPI)

If I were 89 (or any App St fan), I'd go with:
Congrats on the most wins. How many championships?

Neither......the decade record stands for itself.
FBS teams (so your never comment is wrong)
01 - Hawaii
02 - idaho
05 - Oregon
06 - Iowa.

You're preachin' to the choir brother... The Griz are my favorite team to watch
I've simply experienced "the wrath" of East Coast Bias in the past and I expect a full helping of it here in about 24 hours

True....and taking nothing from Delawares 6 championships.....I was just posting facts......no more wins then Montana.
It's all about consistency from the one of the most winning-est teams in the NCAA

My Bad brother......they can bring "the wrath"........the facts stand for themselves. No one can take the record away....regardless of the biased smack talking.

Yeah, you got Georgia Southern and Delaware mixed up. Delaware has no room to talk with only winning once in 2003. Only teams with more championships than Montana are: Georgia Southern (6), Youngstown State (4), and App State (3).

Ok......93henfan needs to change his signature then, correct? He lists Delaware as having 6 national champoinships

He, like other Delaware fans, like to include their D2 & Pop Warner championships from the leather helmet days....

...& oh yeah, congrats Griz...very impressive run...

Montana isnt the team of the decade. The wins that matter are Championships.
Appalachian State is the team of the decade. Montana and Delaware battle for second place.

Will you feel differently when Montana wins the NC this year?

if they win this year then they certainly pull away from Delaware, but will still fall short of ASU 3-2 in championships.

So you'd give zero credence to the 17 straight playoff appearances, 12 straight Big Sky titles, and (assuming a victory) 5 NC game appearances in 10 years?

I agree...
when you talk about who's the best team of a certain decade the measuring stick is Nat'l Championships..!!!

...if they beat App this year in NC, then a draw......if they win this year, then that's 5 appearances with 2 wins....our 3 in a row with 4 appearances (if we meet in NC) & monumental victory at Mich during this stretch would beat you to the casual observer I believe....but just barely.... of course, however, the real winners would be the tailgaters (& local beer distributors) if we meet in Chatty..

Sooo, 6 of the past 9 seasons, the Griz have been in the top 8 nationally, haven't ended up below 16th this decade, and have been in the top 4 nationally 5 of the past 9 seasons. That's playing teams from the CAA, SoCon, etc. during the playoffs.

Oh, btw, idk if anyone is ever going to three-peat again, so you have to give the nod to App State this decade...

Not when someone else has 3 NC's & a win at the all-time winningest FBS program's home field during same stretch...

Which is kind of a pisser considering you have been to 4 NC's, won 2 & went to the playoffs all 10 years of the decade you are talking about....both teams can claim IMO...

I don't need to justify Delaware's six championships. They were all won at the level that is currently called FCS/I-AA (the only notable exception being that Delaware did not transition from D-II to D-IAA in the first year like UMass and FAMU and the small handful of teams that did - therefore, our playoff championship over Youngstown St in '79 was still D-II in a year where a smallish D-IAA tourney was held for the handful that had already completed the transition). Prior to '78 we were all D-II, and before D-II, we were all small college division. Brush up on your history guys. Otherwise you sound ignorant. That is all.
