Post your predictions, news, banter, or whatever.
This one should be one heck of a game.

Only one common opponent: Griz beat Cal Poly 35-23 in Missoula, 'Jacks lost to Cal Poly 21-14 at Cal Poly. Griz ran up 453 yards, SDSU managed 305. Griz got 175 yards rushing, SDSU got 89. And the Griz managed all WITH 5 turnovers.
Given that this game is in Missoula, I'd give a significant edge to the Griz, with the score depending on what the weather does. There's a weather advisory blowing into Missoula, so that might have an impact, but I'm gonna guess;
Griz 31
SDSU 17

I am pretty stoked that I'll be home for this one. Just hope I can make it to the game.
Montana - 21
Rabbits - 10

This is one of the top three match ups in the first round IMO.
Advantage Griz with the game in the Zoo. If the Griz continue their slow start to games then SDSU will make it interesting. Of course I thought that last year when the Bobcats went up there.
Montana - 27
SDSU - 21

It's always close at opening kickoff.

This is a scary 1st round game for the Griz. If I let myself think that we can control the lines then I think we can win this one.
Griz 38
Jackrabbits 30

Is there an "active" SDSU fan board somewhere?

Not the greatest matchup for the playoff rookies but I didn't expect anything else.
Don't fall into the common opponent trap. SDSU played at Poly. Also lost the starting QB midway through the second. The two of Poly's three touchdowns were on the offense.
That being said I watched a bit of the Brawl on Saturday and would think that my Jacks are nothing but big underdogs.

Nothing but respect for the JACKs.

Jacks just played in TCF Stadium in front of 50,000 people, so the crowd won't matter as much as usual in Missoula. The Jacks are good, but the Griz win by 10.
Montana 30, SDSU 20

Think I'll spend my week here. The Jacks fans aren't being very gracious on our fan board today.

EO, I give absolutely no respect to the common opponent thing. SDSU is a far better team that stumbled against CP and I don't see us having the luxury of that kind of performance again. SDSU is a very solid team and will test us in a very physical natured game. The first round game is normally the toughest one to get a win and once you do the team seems to settle down and get back to what you expect so I hope we are prepared for this really tough test against your team. Congrats on making it in to the Jackrabbits.

I think we only beat you guys 7-0 last time you were in Missoula, and this year's Jacks are definitely much better . I'm with G&B, the Griz would be foolish to overlook you guys.

The first time we played you guys it was 7-0, the next year it was something in the ballpark of 36-10.
I was on the sidelines for the first game. It was amazing and our players had a blast. The crowd made it tough on the offense but no one was intimidated at all. Hopefully the game is on TV so I can see it.

Tough opening game.
Griz take it.

Welcome to the playoffs, Jacks'! Tough draw for both teams. I don't think bad weather will give either team an advantage, we're talking MT and SD here. If Griz can put points on the board instead of flags in the air during the first quarter, it's going to be a long day for SDSU. Griz win 28-20

I went to their board and saw the same and much more of the same. Went over there to be nice and what not, left with an attitude of F#ck them! If they lived farther south they'd still be bitching about the Civil War outcome instead of something Griz fans have vocally dissagreed with and would never have let happen had we have had a choice.

SDSU seems to be a slightly better version of Montana State—really good defense, nothing special on offense. The Jackrabbits are 16th. in total defense (& 5th. in scoring D), but just 57th. in total offense.

I was on the phone with a friend about an hour ago and that is the comparison I made as well. I think they are very similar in style to MSU and may have just a little more in the tank than MSU.
