Post your predictions, news, banter, or whatever.
Big game here. The boys from Boone look to have improved once AEs foot healed. SCSU is no pushover and hope to get a huge win for the MEAC.

I would say neither team is really thrilled about this draw. I think this game will be much like last year's opener in Boone. It was very much a struggle for ASU. Students are home for Thanksgiving. Armanti Edwards enters the game coming off an injury. SC State has experience under its belt. App St has a tough road ahead of them, but like they always say if you're gonna be the best you have to beat the best. Great field of 16 teams this year with quite a few having a shot to go all the way.

As a proud SCSU alum I agree with your statement We hoped to have had a home playoff game and still kind of scratching my head that the CAA got 3 teams hosting and a W&M team that got rewarded for losing the last game of the season and to add that SCSU averaged more people than them but hey...To be the best you have to be the best its a tough bracket all together with the past 2 champions in the playoffs in app st and richmond..but in order to get respect you have to earn it..hopefully my bulldogs will earn it on saturday in the way of a victory...its go be tough I was oon the rock last year for this one having real bad memories of those mountains on the way going up though..lol I may have to just catch it on ESPN and hope we win so I can travel to Richmond or Elon..andy way
SCSU 35-APP ST 28...Lets Go Bulldogs!

Don't like this draw....wish we could play Elon again. Will be a tough, hard fought game. Obviously, I'll pick us to win, but it will be close.....and a shame as I really like SCSU & wish they were in another bracket.

Why the hell would you want to give the Elon thugs another shot at maiming AE?

If Armanti is healthy, this should be atleast a 2 TD game. I'm sorry, I just can't give a MEAC team any respect until they earn it.

lets just say i am very surprised at this. i was thinking what we would be hosting W@M and that SCST would have a home game? with that said, with this being AE's last year and him not happy about last weeks performance, i say App by 3. best of luck to both teams. this game is really hard to call!

Thankfully I drank enough Seagrams 7 during and after that game to flush my memories of that game down a toilet.

Tough break for S.C. State, as I'm sure a lot of their fans thought this would be the year that they got to host a playoff game. But if you look at the schedule, there is nothing impressive there. They lost to South Carolina 38-14 and the game was over basically by halftime. Not only do they lack any quality wins out of conference, but the only quality win I see on the resume was over Florida A&M. Long has had a good year even though he doesn't look like the player he was last year and looks like he's put on a good amount of weight and is a step slower. Ford was a big time player for SCSU against App last season, but his production and numbers have taken a hit this season as teams have been able to key on him. Bulldogs were big and physical last year, but from what I've heard they have lost a lot of those big lineman from last year's squad. Also, SCSU faced an injured Edwards last year and even though he is coming off an injury he suffered at Elon, he's in better shape going into this game as opposed to last year's first round game. South Carolina State caught App off guard last year and we ended up having our hands full the whole game, I don't think that happens this time around. I think AE starts and plays well. App knows how good this program is and jumps out to an early lead and never looks back.
Appalachian State 38
South Carolina State 20

SC State had a quality team last year and it was still a double digit win for App. I think it happens again. Just surprisedthat a return trip to the playoffs didn't get them a home game

I took it to mean that SCSU didn't show up for the second half.

That's not true, at half-time the score was only 10-7 South Carolina... S.C. State played very good the 1st half, but not in the 2nd half....I watched that game on ESPNU

Someone on the MMB said the Marching 101 is definitely making the game. If so, then thumbs up from me.
