To me, this is the second most interesting matchup in the first round.

Does anybody know if Willaim and Mary has a fansite to go? I pick Weber to go on the road and win in a close game. 30-29.

They got it wrong again. Just like last year when they had Weber hosting Cal Poly at first.

Will The Tribe pick themselves up after Richmond? Will Weber drop after Cal Poly? This is a tough call. Weber wins in a classic.

W&M defense pulls it out, 20-17.

The feeling in the stands after the game was "Well see you in a couple weeks when the game REALLY means something."

While the team was obviously down trudging off the field, I think Jimmye Laycock and the team captains will get them back up and focussed again. Having a home game next weekend is an obvious plus, but we'll be facing a team with a more powerful offense than we've seen all year. That will take a lot of planning by our coaching staff--I don't think they will be paying that much attention to the turkey and stuffing this year.

W&M 31
Weber 17

The Tribe's loss to Richmond won't sit well with them.

W&M 17, Weber State 14.

W&M is the best defense in the country, and Johnathan Grimes is very good. There's not a whole lot there beyond that, but that's enough to win more weeks than not. Archer is athletic and doesn't make mistakes, but if they get behind early they'll be in trouble.

That's how I felt right after I watched that last second field goal go through the uprights during the regular season in 2004.

I got the Tribe over Weber. Only one team has scored more than three TDs against the W&M defense.

Low scoring affair:

W&M 14
Weber 10

This is a tough one to pick. W&M have a great defense however they have not seen such a balanced dangerous offense as Weber st. The quarterback can kill you and they have a fantastic running back. The key is Higgins. If he does not turn the ball over then Weber st will put up a lot of points against W&M and win if he does, they lose.

Higgins throws 1 int or less

Weber st.-31
W&M-21

Higgins throws more than 1 int
W&M-27
Weber st.-13

How is Trevin Smith's ankle? That will be the game in a nut shell.

They have Bo Bolden as well and he doesn't have any problem toting it while Trevyn is recouping.

I've seen Montana this season...and Richmond...

I watched the Richmond/W&M game...

If Weber couldn't take down the Griz...they ain't gonna take down the Tribe...

Tribe moves on to the second round....

Weber just happy to be in the playoffs.

William and Mary pretty pissed they gave the Richmond game away.

W&M wins.

Absolutely no way Weber scores more than 20-23 points, IMO. This is, stats or no, the best defense in the country.

I will bet you that Weber scores more on W&M than every team but Villanova.
