W&M Mascots???

The College of William and Mary (so formal, don't you think) is in the process of picking a new mascot...
I'll let Tribe fans describe the former mascot...but the search committee is down to five finalists....
Drum Roll Please.....
And they are...
Griffin
King & Queen
Phoenix
Pug
Wren

The committee will take feedback on the finalists until January 7th...
I think the committee should start all over again....but I'm just the father of a W&M grad...I can't wait to hear what she has to say about these finalists...

I cleaned out my trashcan(AKA the passenger front seat of my car) and threw it out in a WM dumpster. It caught my eye as I was turning around, so I looked back and just laughed.

I'm so damn confused (happens easily). So, they are keeping the Tribe name but picking a different (and I'm assuming, less offensive) mascot? What the hell do any these choices have to do with the Tribe theme? I say they get some former Survivor contestant who's hard up for cash to be the mascot. They have tribes on that show, right?

We wanted to keep the feathers. The NCAA told us feathers are offensive. But the student dressed as a Seminole galloping out to plant a flaming spear in the middle of Florida State's field isn't. Go figure.
