Montana has advanced to the championship game in back to back years twice before. They won in '95 and then lost in '96. They lost in '00 and then won in '01. Since they lost last year, it stands to reason that they have to win this year. History doesn't lie, folks.

It's going to be a good game, I think we may see a high scoring affair here with the Griz defense leaking like a sieve all post season (minus the SFA game, but I blame Chris for getting their QB trashed), however having the #1 scoring offense in the nation will keep them in the game. The way Nova D shut down UNH was pretty impressive, though Nova has a nack of letting up a lot of yardage. Still think Nova is going to pull this out.

Problem here is that the Griz have a good run defense - Villanova is primarily a running team, it is their pass defense that gives up the yards (primarily because they get thrown on a ton - even App threw it 50+ times). Villanova will have to throw the ball to beat the Griz and I don't think it is their strength.

App ran the ball for well over 100 as did SDSU. Nova is capable of throwing the ball too and their rush defense is pretty stout as well. Only three teams rushed for over 100 yards... Temple, W&M (regular season) and JMU.... I count 6 teams over 100 against the griz run defense.
