… you shouldn't be talking smack.

Only one CAA team won the championship tonight. Stop the bandwagoning.

f that.

If EWU or Weber St. won the National Championship, Montana fans would be all over that. Especially if it was over a CAA school.

I wouldn't. I hate most every other Big Sky team.

If your favorite team just lost the NC game, you shouldn't be starting smack threads. Stop the CAA hating.

I'm not CAA hating. I'm CAA fan hating. :thumb:

Why in the hell would anyone want to be a fan of an entire conference?

Suck a dink, don't be jealous you just lost to your third straight CAA team in the NC game.

Being the eternal bridesmaid must suck, the sooner you join the CAA , the sooner you won't have to feel like a little girl anymore.

yes, you beat JMU last year... yes, you can rag on us for supporting the conference our teams play in... but hey, when's the last time you had a team from your conference win the NC?

To all the Cool Montana fans, you guys had a great season... the way your team played all season leaves no reason for anyone to talk smack. Most of you are gentleman and scholars, and I applaud you for that      I understand your disdain and hatred towards CAA fans... we are dicks. But if you want to blame someone, don't blame the team because they played their hearts out.

(now for the sarcastic, smack, corny part) don't blame Hauck for losing his third straight NC to a CAA team. Don't blame AlphaGriz for saying he wasn't afraid of the "mildcats," don't blame the charter flights screwing you.... blame AZ for not sending me my University of Montana hat on time, as it was his lack of expediency which caused me to lay my lead pipe lock on the Cats.

Who is a fan of the whole conference? I don't see any on here. I do see haters though, like you. Nobody posted any smack after the game - except you. If it makes you feel better to bash the CAA after a loss, go for it. My guess is that the CAA stole your candy when you were a baby.

I'm kinda glad Nova won, now I don't have to set through a bunch of threads talking about how Montana is the is the best team on the face of the earth, and how many fans they can sit in their stadium.

I'll take it. I've got broad shoulders.

I'd like to say "great game", but it was more like a "great half". That game looked eerily similar to the Villanova/W&M game, where W&M dominated the first half but couldn't put them away, then they got dominated in the second half. Villanova was the better team last night. Not by much, but defintely by enough. Sczur (or however the fuck you spell it) is a BEAST. Plain and simple. It seems so simple (from a fan's perspective) that if you see #4 in the backfield you know he's going to run it. WHY then, is it so difficult to stop? Motana's defensive backs looked averagae, and #2 (Trumain Johnson, our REGULAR SEASON hero), was an absolute embarrassment out there all night. Option offenses give the Griz fits anyways, but when they're being run by two guys as efficient as #4 and #17, trouble looms.

When the Griz missed the field goal to start the game, that was NOT a good omen....ended up being the difference in a win or a loss. You can NOT give a team free points, and that's what we essentially did.

One final thought: This was my first NC game, and while the atmosphere was neat, I wasn't that impressed with the crowd's energy. It was readily apparent that these are NOT the same people who pack Wa/Griz every Saturday home game....they didn't quite know how to act, even when we were up by 11. And I heard more than a few say that they were NOT coming back as long as Bobby Hauck is the coach. I'm sure there was a lot of emotion being felt at that particular moment, but I can honestly say that I don't think that I'LL be back, unless the game is against App State or another team that can pack their half of the stadium. The energy just wasn't there and some of the partying felt "forced". Not sure how to explain that, but that's just the feeling I got walking through the pavilion.

On a bright note, I was able to catch up with Appaholic for a few beers after the game, and finally got to meet Wideright82...a very nice guy, and very humble in victory. When I called him immediately after the game to see if he was coming drinking with us he said "I can't hear you, I'm celebrating ON THE FIELD!!!"

I had to hang up.

Fucker.

Well, if I'd known it was this easy to rile people up, I would have just started a thread that said "CAA Sucks" or maybe "The CAA is Villanova & everybody else".

Oh, well. Villanova proved they were the best team, although the game was surprisingly close given how well the Wildcats dominated the line of scrimmage. They gutted it out even though they actually made the majority of the dumb mistakes.

Just tells you how much better than Montana they were, they could make the majority of dumb mistakes and still win. It would have been a blow out if Nova had brought their "A" game, but since they were not playing a CAA team, they didn't need to.

The only team to beat Nova all year was another CAA team. That just goes to show how much better the CAA is than the rest of FCS. If Montana makes the NC game next year, and the opponent is a CAA team, the Griz should just stay home and forfeit the game. It's cruel the give their fans fans false hope like that, it reminds me of the Jack Links beef jerky commercial where the guys offer Sasquatch a ride, and then drive away as he approaches the car.

And yet, I do believe you would be humble.......

And I was able to say that with a straight face... :kisswink:
