So, I'm on the airplane yesterday, flying into Washington, DC. The guy next to me pulls out his laptop and starts typing away on it. A while later I look over and he's got animated football plays from an electronic playbook. I ask him if he's a football coach, and he says yeah, he's the coach of the Wheaton HS JV squad, in Maryland. We talk for a while, he shows me a couple of the plays, When he clicks out of the program he's in, I see his wallpaper, and LO AND BEHOLD, it's a fullscreen shot of Armante Edwards eluding Michigan tacklers on his way to a touchdown!

So, of course we talked for the next hour about FCS football, and the differences between paper champions and champions being crowned on the field, etc., etc. Very enjoyable, and the man obviously knew his football!

Just thought you ASU homers would like to know....

Awesome! Hopefully he'll help us nab some recruits up there. Off the top of my head, I don't think we have any players at all from Maryland. Was the dude somehow affiliated with an FCS school or just a new FCS fan?

P.S. Not to nitpick, but its "Armanti" damnit.

Some prick cut me off last week and I only remember b/c of all the UNH stickers he had.

I think he just appreciated "good football at any level" as he put it. And my humblest appologies to Armanti and his legion of fans.

Was at breakfast this a.m. with my parents before they began the long drive back to Montana for the Summer, and as we're sitting there, six members of (apparently) the Drake girls soccer team came in to the restaurant....not positive, but at least four of them had on "Drake Soccer" shirts....

Not to shabby lookin', I might add! Had to avert my eyes, lest my spouse smack me up side the head....

Sunday, at my softball game, saw NAU and Montana hats.

(OK, the NAU was an old roommate/accounting friend, and his new roommate, who used to play football at a certain school (non-FCS) in Montana, but is a big Grizzly fan.

I forget where I was the other day, but I saw this fat chick wearing a Georgia Southern Tshirt.

Saw a Montana State license plate in Vegas.

Saw a Montana shirt/hat last night

My Dad picked me up a UNH hat a couple weeks ago when he was back east.. not sure what to do with it.

Saw a guy wearing a Montana Griz shirt in dtown Portland this past week.

I was in a bar in Phoenix the other night, and ran into three guys who were FCS fans....one was an NAU Lumberjokes fan, another was a Le-Low fan, and the third was from some non-scholly school nobody's ever heard of.....Harverd, or something like that....anyway, a good time was had by all....

Saw a guy that was the opposite of Hetero wearing an AppState shirt.

How'd I know he wasn't Hetero...he was balls deep into a french kiss with another dude.
