Surprised to hear that since I heard a few hours ago that there were at least four schools that he was considering, and heard that it would be days yet before he decided where to go.

According to reports, Aaron Corp has been granted a release from his scholarship. The release in turn was sent to Kansas, Minnesota, Virginia, and Richmond. Since the first three are Division 1A schools, more than likely Corp will choose Richmond, a Division 1AA school so that he will be eligible to play immediately.
This isn't what the rumors are relying on (more inside info), but this is confirmation that release was sent to only Richmond in FCS.

UVa and Richmond. I guess London was in the mix recruiting him?

If you have ever been to UR, not Richmond VA, but on campus, it's not hard to comprehend the desire to go there.

Agreed. Especially when its being compared to moving from Southern Cali to Kansas or Minnesota or having to live with these douchebags in Charlottsville:

Sounds like a confirmation to me.

http://www.wtvr.com/sports/local/corp-h ... 7511.story
CBS-6 Sports has learned that USC backup quarterback Aaron Corp has been granted his release with the Trojans and was seen touring the UR campus last weekend.

He is finalizing his application process and barring any unforseen circumstance, Corp will return to campus this weekend and start the Spring Semester on Monday.

This is very exciting news, if it takes place! UR very seldom gets any players from Calif! I recall back in 1980 UR got a QB transfer from the state of Calif named Steve Krainock. This was during Dal Shealy's first year as UR head coach. :ugeek: :thumb:

UD, W&M, and Richmond will now have FBS transfer QBs, at least on roster. Is it possible that Flacco making it to the next level from CAA has something to do with this? :coffee:

2011 1st Team CAA Quarterback will be Thomas Demarco - Old Dominion.

That boy actually looks more like the Georgetown boys I see around here all the time in their neon colored polos and sweaters. UVA boys tend to lean towards the more pastel colored clothes. Both are equally as gay though.

You obviously haven't been on the east coast very much recently....

If those boys (most of them aren't men) that I see strutting around like that aren't gay, then I guess the new fad is to dress up as a gay man because the chicks seem to dig it :?

Like ZOMG! A transfer quarterback! :o

Where's the outrage that UD draws when we get one?

I guess the smug comments from the fans of the prestigious private school in the Confederate capital with the academic standards so much better than the lowly state schools will now be silenced? ;)

On a serious note, it will be cool having our own little Rose Bowl matchup in the CAA with Penn State vs USC. :thumb:

The majority of our transfers, including Joe, took a year to really get back into the flow of things. This kid hasn't played regularly since his Senior Year of High School. UR does have some very good receivers for him to throw to though. We will see.

He better bring some o-linemen with him if he hopes to have any time in the pocket.

USC is falling apart like a cheap suit. First Aaron Corp leaves, now Carroll is gone, and he's trying to take the OC with him
