Stony Brook add
A few years ago TXST highly courted Safety/CB Dominique Maddox. As fate would have it, his grades kept him out of TXST and off the team. He went JUCO for 2 years (Navarro) and was looking to transfer. As good as he is and as much as he was courted, TXST did no show any interest, nor offer him, this time around. I'm a little pissed over it. We need the help on D.
So, he has now been accepted and will attend Stony Brook (a TX kid in NY? brrrrrrrrr) You got a good one, with more potential to improve.
Here's the thread on BobCatFans about Dom that includes articles at LSC Scoop.

Re: Stony Brook add
SBU better start winning for real with all the money they are spending.
But as much as it pains me to say this - I do think they are setting themselves up to be an FCS force to reckon with in the Northeast.
Facilities
Coaching
Educational Value (SBU is a top-rated University)
That amounts to some serious recruiting ability.

Re: Stony Brook add
Jordan Gush a Freshman from Texas made the winning TD against Liberty last November after he ran with a 62 yard catch. His dad is on the staff also. Texas will be good to us.
Re: Stony Brook add
Can't wait. Maddox will be a great addition, esp with the Rutgers transfer we got (#1 CB in NJ), and already strong secondary. This will be a great year for the top of the Big South.kuntryboimike wrote:i dont like it. not one bit! haha. I'm really looking forward to SBU this year. The biased part of me wished they would have landed at least one of the HU receivers who were a talented bunch, or at least Steve Probst to keep him on the island. Either way, SBU is definitely moving in the right direction. Walking past the stadium a couple of weeks ago i got my first look at the new scoreboard, very impressive.
