UD:
QB: (and very important) Pat Devlin
WR's: Mark Mackey, Tommy Crosby, Mark Schenaur, Rob Jones
LB: Benard Makumbi, Paul Worillow, Andrew Harrison
DB: Tyrone Grant, Anthony Walters, Anthony Bratton
P: Ed Wagner
You'll notice the most important omission: OL & DL, UD has to be successful up front if they're going to be a playoff team this season.

Tremayne Dameron RB, will be a sophomore in '10
-with improved o-line he should be a good one for another 3 years.
Tommy Chroninger QB/SS, will be a true sophomore in '10
-should have been the starting safety as a true freshman but had to play QB out of need
our DE Brady Smith ahs another year of elligibility, but has graduated and is not returning.

Re: CAA, top players on each team returning next year.
Heres the best players coming back for Maine in my opinion
OFFENSE
QB: Warren Smith and Chris Triester? Warren Smith I think will emerge the starter but I feel theres gonna be atleast a QB competition in spring ball now, due to Triester stepping up after Warren got hurt.
RB: All American Jared Turcotte is back after missing all of last season with an injury, hes healthy and has a lot to prove should be back in top form.
WR: Tyrell Jones, should be to go to WR now that Landis Williams has graduated had some highlight reel catches last season, should have a good year now that hes the #1 target
DEFENSE
LB: Donte Dennis and Mark Masterson, Dennis is one of the better linebackers in the conference and Masterson is coming back off a injury which cost him the entire season so he will be coming back healtyh and with something to prove.
DT: Ryan Nani should have a break out year took over the starting job at the end of the year, completely changed our defense for the last few games of the year.
CB: Stephen Barker All Conference last year, should be a stand out for the black bears
Safteys: Jerron Mcmillian and Trevor Coston, both should have break out years after being shunned for all conference honors last year in my opinion, but you can't expect much when you got 5-6
Maine was young last year, and I think Cos took too long getting the best players on the field like starting Eric lee and Ryan Nani inside, and starting Dennis and Givens at linebacker. But we return pretty much all our starters minus Eric Lee, Brandon Mclaughlin, and Jordan Stevens on defense. Lee should be replaced with Kevin Phanor who started earlier in the season but lost his job hopefully he can step up, and with Masterson returning we shouldnt miss a beat replacing Mclaughlin. If we can have a D-End step up to replace Stevens the Black Hole should be back to Black Hole form. On Offense we lose OT Tyler Eastman and WR Landis WIlliams, if we can fill those voids the offense should be fine, we have alot of players fill those roles throughout the season last year so I don't expect there to be too big a drop off there.

One of my favorite players last year. He was all over the field. My pick for defensive MVP.bluehenbillk wrote:UD:

I'm more hopeful with the OL. We have quite a stash of beef that wore redshirts last year and if even half of them pan out we should be serviceable with Devlin back there.bluehenbillk wrote: You'll notice the most important omission: OL & DL, UD has to be successful up front if they're going to be a playoff team this season.
The DL? Yikes. I'll put up with the criticism, just get me some transfers!

Did you just want the 3 AA's (Szczur (WR), Ijalana (OL), Thomas(LB))
the 9 All CAA's (Whitney (QB), Szczur(WR), Ijalana(OL), Clouser(OL), BALL (RB), Thomas(LB), Kirkland(LB), Pitts(CB), Dempsey(S)).
Or everyone who went to Chatty???

I've been saying it since last preseason. 2010 could be the most deep OL the Hens have ever had. Really looking forward to an offense that can keep the defense off the field.93henfan wrote:I'm more hopeful with the OL.
