Maine must have lobbied the hardest.

Rhode Island definitely got the short end of the stick.......CAA trying to force URI out with travel costs?

I can see Albany, W&M, UNH, UD, Umass, and JMU moving from the L side to the W side.
Not all, but 2 or 3. Those 2 home games back to back W&M and UNH are the key to their season.
Maine thinks they're a play off team this year. If they are they'll need to win both those.

Yeah seriously. Maine and W&M seem to have the extreme conference schedules travel-wise. I'm surprised there wasn't a better way to share the pain.

You're nuts if you think Maine is going to go 3-8. 18 of 22 starters listed on their 2 deep from their JMU game are back, plus they picked up one of the Hofstra starting DLs.
-Albany ain't going to beat them in Orono.
-Between having W&M, UNH, Nova and JMU at home they will win 2 of those 4 (and I'm afraid JMU might be one of them). Heck, they only lost by 3 @ UNH last season and UNH loses half their starters from last yr.
-They beat UMass last yr and UMass loses a doz starters and won't be as good as their 5-6/3-5 last yr.

I wouldn't be surprised to see the JMU @ Maine game on the last weekend be between 2 6-4/7-3 teams, and a possible play in game.

Maine goes 7-4. 8-3 wouldn't surprise me. Last (4th or 5th) CAA team in.

So is this a different Maine team than I saw at Albany last year?

That was a cluster fuck, Cosgrove should have been fired after that game. He was playing favorites by starting Brusko who couldn't throw at QB instead of Warren Smith, and it took losing to Albany to make the switch and actually have an offense. And defensively the personnel decisions were equally as bad our 2 best DT's weren't even starting and they were clearly better, and at LB Vinson Givans wasn't starting who was clearly better than the starter, after Maine made those changes they were a different team. I watched that game on TV and I wanted to throw up

Turcotte should be back as well.

I said for the Maine @ JMU game Maine the game notes showed 19 of 22 starters as underclassmen. Well, make that 18 of 22. The 2 deep erroneously showed 2nd Team All CAA OT Tyler Eastman as a Jr instead of as a senior. I thought I saw he was coming back, but then I thought I saw his name on one of the all star game rosters. Glad he's not coming back. He did a pretty good job on Moats that game. I thought next to Ijalana from Nova, Eastman was the 2nd best OT I saw last season in the CAA, better than the other 2 OTs who got 1st team All CAA, the heralded Ducasse from UMass who didn't look that good on TV vs Maine and whom Moats abused, and Silva from UR.

Well it can be argued its 19 still because Masterson is coming back and he was starting LB until he got injured and missed the entire season, either way still a lot of starters coming back.

Don't see Cal Poly on the schedule, must be a misprint.

That Warren Smith kid at QB kind of impressed me. Saw him on TV vs UMass and in person vs JMU. Scrappy kid. Against JMU went 25 of 42 for 178 with a TD. Also threw 3 picks. Rushed for 45 yards on 9 carries. Kind of reminded me of a poor man's Drew Dudzik.

Yes. Mike Brusko was not a division one quarterback. Great WR though.

JMU was probably his worst game of the year too. However I thought the JMU game was when our defense really started playing well though.
