That's cool, but we're I think we're ranked higher than you according to Rivals.com. We also have a 2 star d-lineman that will probably fax his LOI tonight. Other wise, great job!

You can critique our recruiting AFTER you get your first win against Montana sometime after the year 2030.

I don't usually get sucked in to these types of conversations, but you can't really be serious. UNC will never get the type of recruiting class Montana gets, it's just the way it is.

Alright, see for yourself. Check the rankings for rivals. I could be wrong, but I didn't see UM ahead of UNC. Sac St actually is a few spots ahead.

Well you should go back and look and see if Montana has EVER had a good recruiting class according to the rankings and see how that has compared to what is done on the field.

It's something for everybody to talk about and one of these days maybe one of these "great" recruiting classes will turn out to be something. :thumb:

One type of recruit goes where there are 2500 butts in the seats; another goes where there are 25,000. We prefer the latter. It's working out pretty well.

Must be nice being the only ticket in town. We've got to compete against 3 FBS teams two of them within 1 hour driving distance and one of which is a BCS school, plus a professional franchise. Keep up the good work!

You guys drew more fans when you were D-II. So why don't you get better attendance now?

And the being the "only ticket in town" crap is bogus. People travel all across the state to come to Missoula to watch games. We have 2 FCS schools in MT and MSU doesn't draw nearly as many. Montana just has a better fan base.

I know SEVERAL D3 teams that draw more for games than UNC. My college averaged nearly 7000 this year. And our conference foe averaged 9200, with 12,000 at the game when we played them.

I love that argument. Don't pay any attention to your population base there in Clolorado.

CSU Stadium-34,400
Colorado-60,000 (on a good day)

Denver Bronco's (rarely play on Saturday's but I'll throw it in for you anyway) 34,000

128,800 Total stadium attendace for those not named UNC Bears.

Population of Colorado-5,000,000

4,871,200 left out in the wind that could attend a UNC game.

You get 2500-3000 fans out of a leftover population that is nearly 5 times as big as our entire state as far as population goes?

Is it possible that people are not interested in seeing your team play because they are just not interesting to watch? Seriously, if you could notch up the amount of people that wanted to watch a game in your stadium to say---.00266874692 of those 4.8 million leftovers then you wouldn't have to try to make excuses that are so fucking stupid.

.000615864674 % just isn't cutting it even though you are not the "top dog".

Hometown of Greeley-77,000

Hometown of Missoula-57,000

excuses for being pathetic aside I find it tough to buy into your story.

God damn it! I should have been quicker on the post as I had the same basic argument as above. Clear thinking in Montana...obviously.

You left out all the d2 schools, which I'm counting, 6? You could probably throw WYO in the mix, and I almost forgot Air Force.

So by your calculations there are 4,871,200 left in state to attend a UNC game? Well last time I checked there I don't think there was 4,871,200 with in driving distance, about 1 hour, it would get kinda congested with all those people living in one spot close to UNC.   Who knew 4,871,200 would have nothing else to do, because ever single one of those 4,871,200 revolves around football.

Like the person posted earlier people travel across Montana to see a UM game because, for one they're good and two that's the only thing going on in the state of Montana. My guess is no one is going to travel more than 2 hours to see a UNC game when they have other options. YOu know? I don't think it would matter how good they were either

In 2005, or 2004 we averaged over 7,000. Not bad, but not great. We didn't even have a winning season that year. We will get there win the winning starts up again. The community is ready to support a winning team. Just ask our basketball team.
