Re: CONFERENCE PROJECTION
Where would Stony Brook have fallen if they were still in the NEC? I would think they would have been on top of that list. Plenty of transfers, second year under this coaching staff, now have scholarships.
They play all of the top three NEC schools acording to that.

Re: CONFERENCE PROJECTION
OK, i have to ask. How were these projections tabulated? Were any of the broadcasters polled or were these just what you guys think based on last year's results?
The Big South rankings seem rather odd based on what most folks in our league think. I realize it is very subjective but I am just curious.
PS - I enjoy seeing you guys work it hard this summer.

Re: CONFERENCE PROJECTION
I was asking the same thing about the Big South. I wasn't necessarily disagreeing that LU was 2nd, but moreso that CSU was 3rd and G-W was 4th. The way most of us look at it, it's CCU, LU, and G-W battling for 1st, CSU 4th, and VMI 5th.

Re: CONFERENCE PROJECTION
I must say, the Big South has turned up a lot of feedback. We love to hear it all. Thanks for your e-mails and posts. Our rankings were based on many peoples thoughts and predictions, not just one person. Not every voter we have voted on each conference, but many of them did. It was actually the most difficult one to predict becasue almost every person had something different. VMI was a clear cut #5, however the top 4 were all on top of each other.

yeah- have to respectfully disagree with you on this one.SMEnetwork wrote:I must say, the Big South has turned up a lot of feedback. We love to hear it all. Thanks for your e-mails and posts. G-W will most certainly be ahead of CSU, and really- may top CCU as well.
In depth research into each team and changes made in the off season will no doubt bear out the fact Liberty is making a HUGE investment in the program, and we fully expect to come out on top.
Given CCU's performance the past 3 yrs though, its not unreasonable to rank them highly.
Always remember the 343 (9/11/01)

The SLC projection is interesting. The SLC ranked SFA at #2. It really doesn't matter though, the Kats are going to win it this year.

Interesting trichotomy in the placement of SFA....
SuperHornet's Athletics Hall of Fame includes Jacksonville State kicker Ashley Martin, the first girl to score in a Division I football game. She kicked 3 PATs in a 2001 game for J-State.

I only saw the seawolves the one game against RMU, and i know it was raining, but it wasnt a really bad storm or anything. Do you think that game was a fluke, because it really did not seem to me that SBU could hang with the colonials. I know this sounds like smack, but i swear it is not, I was suprised after the game reflecting on it. I just did not see SBU as being that good, i know they won some conference games against the big boys, maybe they just played an off game against RMU?

Re: CONFERENCE PROJECTION
The gateway projection makes no sense when compared to your national poll. You have #7 UNI winning the league over #5 Youngstown and #10 SIU finishing behind #11 Illinois State. Someone different doing the conferences vs. your national poll?
