he just signed... We are expecting big things from him. He is undersized at 6'1" and 240lbs but not underpowered. He was overlooked by FBS schools but you'll hear of him. He plays with a lot of heart.

Edwards is one of five CCU signees who suited up in the Shrine Bowl for South Carolina. He was the Most Valuable Player for Chesterfield High his final season. He had 91 tackles, 19 tackles for loss and 7.5 sacks his senior season.

So he had 7.5 sacks in his senior year of HS, but he's going to set sack records?

I was being a smart ass when I said he was gonna be the sack leader. But he is gonna be good.

We'll see. I know one thing... he can't catch Mike Brown, Greg Pratt, or Korey Davis... so you guys need to figure out how to do that before you get too excited about sacks.

yup, we'll see. I can't wait until the your Flames come to Conway. They may leave broken hearted after hearing the crowd say "MOOOOOOOOOON!" all night when he is jacking your players up.

It would only be due to the ridiculous home field advantage that is Conway at night. We're the better team on paper.

I'm sure a friendly wager will be in order when the game comes around.

The last meaningful game we won during the night hours @ Brooks Stadium was Furman back in 2006.

The game against us a couple years ago was MUCH closer than it should have been. I dunno, Brooks is just a good atmosphere... maybe it's dying off a little, but no one at LU as a fan feels confident about a trip to the beach.
