Auburn QB Tyrik Rollinson Is Transferring To Sam Houston State University in The Southland Conference!!! Was A Great High School QB, And I Expect Him To Have A Great Future At Sam Houston. Good luck Tyrik

Academic and character issues aside, I don't think you can fault them on this one...the kid has four years of eligibility left, which is essentially the same as recruiting a HS QB...I would be more concerned with why he was suspended at Auburn, and why he's leaving, but this isn't the typical "hired gun" like they've taken in the past.

True. The SLC will continue to be a QB league.

I think that's a great thing!! The more high profile players we can get into this league, the better in my view...anything that raises the profile of the league as a whole is a good thing.

So taking players with issues, that have to leave FBS schools (for one reason or another) and then enroll in an SLC school is your idea of raising the Conferences' profile?

Not quite what I said...I don't know the story behind his suspension, and I don't know his makeup...putting that aside, I think he's a good addition to the league...if it turns out he's a turd of the highest order, then not so much.

Interesting to see all of the positive responses for taking in this troubled transfer and "raising the status of the league".
Wonder why the same wasn't shown when Quinton Castille transfered to NSU last summer from Nebraska...
