Good grief, Poly is running the gauntlet this year. @ McNesse, @ Old Dominion and now @ Texas State.

The Texas St would most likely be in Cali this year. Though the rumor on Bobcatfans is that its in San Marcos. I'd rather road it up this year or the SUU and Cal Poly games would both be on the road next season.

And the other one is most likely Texas A&M - Commerce.

A pre-release announcement?

I guess this is how the "big boys" do it, "we already know what the schedule is...you just have to wait a week to find out"

Excellent news. How do the Bobcats look for 2010? Cal Poly had a rough 2009, but I think will be very solid in 2010.

1. Found out that last game is Southern Arkansas :|
2. This is a thread about TXST's 2010 schedule, stay on topic (you are trying to wander away from it)
2. When you actually field a team and play a down, then you can be an ass, until then :whocares:

2010 will be interesting. We will have a new QB. At this point it would appear that Hawkins would bet he QB since he played a little last season. But we picked up a highly rated QB recruit who may end up starting if he can learn the system.

RB - Bush will be back and hopefully 100%. If not then Reddic an Soph will be playing.

WR - Stacked

Defense - Secondary is much improved but small holes up front need to be filled.

The Kidd had a legitimate remark. It does impact the 2010 schedule if there is a home-and-home agreement.

So, guessing that you got SAU on 9/11 and CP on 9/18.

Do you have to return both trips - CP and SUU - in '11? Or is CP in '12?

CatMom, Why so bitter? I was just asking a question. Not being a smart ASS. Its fans like you that hold Texas State down. Try to smile ones in a while

Got the Southern AR info from a player and the Cal Poly info from the AD. I have no idea about SUU. TBird?
The schedule hasn't "officially" been released, so I can't say and don't have contacts to find out such.

Kidd, we had a UTSA troll on our board that every time we mentioned anything to do with 2010 he was, well, I won't even go into it. Sorry about that post, knee jerk reaction. And you've no idea what kind of fan I am until you go and read some of my 1800 + posts. I'm nothing if not passionate.

THE KIDD...

Some of the TXST fans are in a tizzy about UTSA adding football and potentially being ahead of them as it relates to FBS. There have been a few UTSA fans that have made pricks of themselves, but at the end of the day, the TXST fans need to take the legitimate questions for what it is...

Cal Poly will play anyone, anywhere, anytime. Gotta like that. Glad to see Tx St and McNeese schedule them.
189 days to kickoff.

I am glad to see both on the 2010 schedule and hope to see them often on future schedules.

As far as Cal Poly goes:

O-line return all five starters plus 2 starters from 2008 who missed most/all of 2009 with injuries.

WR return all players from their 3 deep. Big gun there is 2009 UCLA transfer Dominique Johnson.

FB returns top two fullbacks. Both are studs.

SB lost both starters but will have West Virginia transfer Mark Rodgers and two promising redshirt freshmen to plug the holes there. Also signed a local kid this year who had 33 TDs and averaged 14 yards a carry who runs a 4.4 so I think we will be good here.

Starting QB Tony Smith returns but he will be pushed hard this spring by Sophomore Andre Broadous and redshirt freshmen Duke DeLancellotti and Ken Johnston.

Defensive line lose one starting DE but return one starter from 2008 who missed 2009 with injury. Also signed a big 6'4" 280 JC player and transfer Matt Singletary from Baylor. I think this unit will be much improved in 2010. This was a position that was hit hard by injuries in 2009. Will have much more depth this year because it was a recruiting priority the last two years.

Linebacker lose one of three starters here, but return a 4 yr starter in the middle and have some promising young players to hopefully fill in for Carl Gillespie who graduated.

Defensive secondary lost a CB and S, but had a true freshman play a lot at CB and nickle in 2009 to fill in at CB and have scout team player of the year Xavier Ramos to fill in at safety. I think once the secondary settles in it has a chance to be much improved in 2010.

You think asking if a C-USA team going to play at an established FCS school next season is a legitimate question?

FYI, it's not.

Please enlighten me the last time that happened.

Nevertheless, no KIDD, we don't have any plans for UH to come to San Marcos anytime soon that I am aware of. Glad to see more UTSA fans making their way here. Welcome!

TT, it is you and other UTSA fans that are promulgating the idea that we are all in a tizzy over UTSA. I could give a rat's ass what UTSA does. I'm interested in what TXST does...PERIOD! It doesn't mean I don't engage in "intelligent" converstion on what other SLC teams do (ok, so sometimes it a bit of fun) But, at the end of the day I'm only concerned about the Bobcats.

Why not play a C-USA team at San Marcos. Some years back SA had a football team called the Riders and played our home games at Bobcat Stadium. There were temporary bleachers added to one end zone about 15 to 20 rows each. That along with standing room only there was a little over 20k. So yes there is a way to get a C-USA team into San Marcos. There are some C-USA teams that do not come close to 20K for home games.
