Today, YSU had their Spring Game. The Red team led by Todd Rowan won 15-0. Overall the defenses looked solid making a bunch of big hits. Offensively, Rowan seemed to stay calm and deliver some nice passes, but I personally do not want to see him lead us in the new Spread Offense. Toledo transfer Brandon Summers has more speed and his throws seem to be nicer, but his WR corp on the white team was not that good. At the end of the game, he finally got to go in with the Red offense, and the team drove down the field nicely. The running back Kevin Smith looked very nice on a few carries, but no one else stood out at the RB position.

Offense: B-
Defense: B+
Special Teams: B [Nice Kicks and Punts, but 2 blocked XP]

SIU next year has a new coach and a new QB (still unsure of who that will be). We also have to replace our top running back and our wide receivers. We'll still kick your tail.
