Hudgins proved to be a little faster than previously thought...

Andre Campbell is an absolute beast. His max bench is over 500, max squat over 750, and he ran a 4.59. 10'4" broad jump, and 36.5" vertical. I've been in the weight room when he's been in there before and he is all business.

Looks like Campbell is the pick of the litter. I didn't get to see Hudgins play but considering his press his numbers aren't much to brag on, especially his bench and vertical.

Campbell is by far the best athlete of the group. Hudgins is likely a great college player that will be a marginal NFL player because he lacks the tools. You also have to remember that in his offense it is easy to put up big numbers in the passing game. A lot of folks around the SoCon think that their QB for next year will have a shot and while he did run in the 4.7s at his junior pro day he lacks the arm strength, size, and accuracy to be a NFL QB. I think the two best NFL prospects from Elon came on the defensive side of the ball this past year. Keep an eye on the DE Brandon Ward who ran in the 4.7s at his junior pro day and has a chance to be a solid 3-4 OLB or rush DE. He just needs to add some bulk and become more consistent. I would say Elon has a few free agents but none of these guys are draftable in my mind.

I had a class with Brandon Ward in January and I saw him on campus this week, and he's gotten noticeably bigger.

Hudgins, Did not see him play???? Well he is a receiver. He only caught 385 passes. So you probably would question his hands. He had to get open and got yards after catch so his skill level is average at best according to you. Go and look up a video. The kid can play!!!!! :o

Watch the video under E-Cast on the right hand side of the screen. One of the best catches of all time. You just can't teach that. http://www.elon.edu/e-net/Note.aspx?id=932756" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Of which "tools" do you think he is lacking? You just lost total credibility with that one statement.

I'm sure he can play, I'm just saying I'm not sure he can play in the NFL. He doesn't appear to have the speed to get away from NFL DBs, his 11 reps isn't much, even for a WR, and his vertical is average at best. Campbell is nearly as fast as him and outjumped him both directions. If he can play special teams he might get on as a free agent.

The workouts began in the Elon weight room where the quintet went through the broad jump, vertical jump and bench press. The workouts then moved to the track where they ran the 40 and performed in other drills for the scouts.
This is part of the reason he ran a good time. The combine running was on (slow) field turf.
