Tough Opening Schedules

FCS schools are often fodder for the "big boys" in pre conference scheduling. Can anyone top Tennessee Tech which opens the 2010 season at the Arkansas Razorbacks and then travel the following week to the TCU Horned Frogs?

Portland State goes to Arizona State, UC-Davis and Oregon in that order.

I hear Cal Poly has quite the peach of a schedule though. ;)

Not quite, although UND travels to two bowl teams from last year in Idaho and Northern Illinois.

No one can told that unless you are playing an NFL team

UMass opens with William & Mary...plays Holy Cross, then travels to Michigan...

Two FCS playoff teams from last season and a Big Ten team...

Not an easy way to open the season...

EWU's schedule is certainly top heavy, but it's winnable.

@ Nevada-Reno
vs. D-II(powerhouse) CWU @ Quest Field, Seattle
vs. Montana
@ Montana State
@ Weber State

3 teams that under a 20-team field would have gone to the playoffs last year, FBS #1 Offensive team Nevada, and D-II powerhouse Central Washington, who whooped up on Idaho State last year (although that's not saying much. ;) )

Right there with ya, McNeese welcomes the mighty Lamar Cardinals to the Hole in week one (headed to Missouri in week 2)

We will be opening up with one of the toughest schedules we have ever had before though not as tough as other teams i reckon, especially that Western State @ Montanan game, thats a doozy :thumb:.

-Sept. 4th: @ Wyoming
-Sept. 11th: San Diego
-Sept. 18th: @ San Jose State
-Sept. 25th: @ Texas State

I think the San Jose State game is very winnable as is the Texas State and San Diego game. However Wyoming really came far last year and i think that we will give them a close first half before they pull away. :twocents:

HEY THERE BUD! We had an agreement. I support SUU to the fullest and you be nice to the Griz.

Truth be told, I kind of jumped onto the SUU bandwagon before it gets crowded. GO SUU!!! Prove me right from all the shit I have posted of the past couple years. :thumb: :notworthy:

@Delaware, Ill St, @Nebraska, @UNI
I'd say that should be as tough as a first four as anyone in FCS IMO

For NDSU:

9/4 - At Kansas
9/11 - At Northern Iowa

Maybe starting out 0-2...

USD Coyotes play at Central Florida, at Minnesota, and the 4th game of the year is at North Dakota State. By far the hardest schedule ever at USD. But not the toughest scedule this year.

Tough, but it would be more impressive if ILL ST wasn't sandwiched in there. That is like a bye week.

Talk all of the shit you want about Ill St. but they should be MUCH improved this year and could be fighting for that 3-4 spot on the MVC

This isn't UNI fans pumping thing, they should be pumped this year. They, if all goes as it should, be a legit top 15-20 team
