ASU’s starting punter is back in the saddle again after missing more than half of the 2006 season with a knee injury ... the injury occured in Young’s kicking leg, an ailment which poses less of a detriment to kickers than their non-kicking or “plant” foot ... is expected to be at 100 percent for the open of fall camp.
2006: Won the starting job after transferring from Division II Wingate ... with an emphasis on height rather than distance, compiled a 37.8-yard average with 11 fair catches in 29 punts ... suffered a knee injury on fifth punt of the day in 14-7 nailbiter versus Wofford ... underwent season-ending surgery later that month.
2005: Did not see game action per NCAA transfer rules.
Previous College: Redshirted during only season at Wingate.
