Alright I'm stealing this from AGS. Since TSN will no doubt follow up that last article with other positions, who do you think the top 10 backs will be next season?

He is easily top 5, if the new QB is not a flop, then that will open things up for Jones to run wild. I could see him getting 1,400-1,500 yards this season.Silenoz wrote:It'll be interesting to see where T. Jones ends up. If this new QB flops (not likely), he is going to be relied on a LOT
I think he'll be relied on more this year either way... last year he was banged up with nagging shoulder injuries which is probably the reason he was only getting 13 or so carries a game, and used more as WR toward the end of the season. If he can get 1200+ while being injured, I'd love to see what he can do if he stays healthy all year.Silenoz wrote:It'll be interesting to see where T. Jones ends up. It'll be interesting. I think he will get his yards either way, but one thing to note is that Jones got the numbers he did last year with Nichols at the helm. EWU really used the pass to open up the run as opposed to the other way around, and a lot of the big plays Jones had were either off of draws or screens as opposed to running between the tackles. I think he is very effective in the finesse style offense that EWU has run the past several years, but without effective QB play I don't think his numbers would have been as big as they were last year. But I agree that he should be up there in the top 5 or 10 or so. With his speed and elusiveness he is damn hard to stop when he gets into space.Silenoz wrote:It'll be interesting to see where T. It'll be interesting to see just how Chase fits in to Pflugrad's offense. Obviously, when you have a RB as talented as Chase is you're not going to abandon the run entirely, but it seems pretty apparent that Pflugrad prefers an offense that features more passing. Fortunately, Chase has shown he can be a good receiver out of the backfield too. I think he'll see a lot of touches still, but probably more screens and dump passes out of the backfield. Remember, he was originally slotted to play WR when he came to UM. He'll get his fair share of carries too, I'm sure, but I wouldn't be shocked if the Griz offense changes significantly after Chase graduates.Screamin_Eagle174 wrote:I'd imagine TJ and Chase will be 1/2, not necessarily in the order. Especially with Karim gone.
Bolen is a non-factor this year; he's off mormonizing it up in some foreign country that doesn't want his religion.BearIt wrote:Another Big Sky RB that might shine this year is Bolen at Weber. With Smith gone he should get most of the carries. The little bit I saw of him last year looked like he could be good. Too early to call him top 10, but he is certainly one to keep an eye on.
I agree about Jones and Chase being at the top of the list this year. Chase is going to get less carries with the new offense, but I expect that will be made up with more recieving yards and possibly more YPC with the spread offense Pflu is bringing.
If Sczur(Sp?) comes back I think he might take #1.
Minett is definately on the list.i_got_a_fever wrote:Kyle Minett SDSU

Best in the MVFC this season.
That sucks for Weber. I going out on a limb and saying that Weber is going to struggle this year.Screamin_Eagle174 wrote:Bolen is a non-factor this year; he's off mormonizing it up in some foreign country that doesn't want his religion.
Higgins is going to throw a LOT of picks this year.BearIt wrote:That sucks for Weber. And Armanti Edwards is a glory hog, apparently. Moore gets 52 of the 55 yards to put the ball on the 3, and Edwards runs it in for a TD.Skjellyfetti wrote:Devon Moore rush for 15 yards to the AppSt 42, tackled by Michael Ireland for a 1ST down.

Devin Radford rush for 3 yards to the Richm 22, tackled by Martin Parker and Patrick Weldon.
Devon Moore rush for 6 yards to the Richm 16, tackled by Pierre Turner.
Devon Moore rush for 2 yards to the Richm 14, tackled by Nicholas Battle for a 1ST down.
Devon Moore rush for 5 yards to the Richm 9, tackled by Parker Miles and Collin McConaghy.

Armanti Edwards rush for 3 yards for a TOUCHDOWN.
Devon Moore is a BEAST.
49 of the 55 yards. Devin Radford got a carry as well. And, I'm not sure if the play Armanti ran it in for was a called QB run or if it was an option that he kept.AZGrizFan wrote: And Armanti Edwards is a glory hog, apparently. Actually, we're both wrong. He got 67 yards, Radford got 3. And Edwards got the final 3.Skjellyfetti wrote:49 of the 55 yards. Devin Radford got a carry as well. 67 of the 73 yards. But yeah, I agree.AZGrizFan wrote:And Armanti Edwards is a glory hog, apparently. Moore gets 52 of the 55 yards to put the ball on the 3, and Edwards runs it in for a TD.Skjellyfetti wrote:Devon Moore rush for 15 yards to the AppSt 42, tackled by Michael Ireland for a 1ST down.

I'm just clad he threw it on the last play of the Griz App game and didn't run for it. Still can't believe he didn't take off and try to make it happen on his own.Screamin_Eagle174 wrote:Oops. Didn't see there were more posts.AZGrizFan wrote:
