2010 Spiders are minus 15 starters from last season. I don't get it.

I'm not so sure about TXST being there either. I'd like it to happen but I'll take this with a miniscule grain of salt

ATHLON and LINDY'S FCS top 25 polls are almost always suspect. THE SPORTING NEWS is a whole lot better. Their mag comes out June 1.

Only 70% of the CAA teams in the Top 25.
Pick it up Towson and URI. Slackers. I'll give UMass a pass for now.
On a more serious note, Delaware plays #1, #3, #5, #9, #11, and #22 this season.

Not going to be able to hide in the CAA this year, with two gimme games gone...

When has anyone in the CAA South been able to hide in the past several seasons?

I only looked back ten years, but in Delaware's case, that scenario has only occurred twice. Something that happens once every five years is not exactly something anyone in the CAA South can hide behind. Carry on.

Yeah. The CAA North gets that every other year, right? Of course, this all changes now with a 10 team CAA.

All preseason polls are retarded. Absolutely meaningless.

I love the "chimpazees with darts" image that comes to mind.

Remove Maine and replace them with Weber State.

Aren't all polls meaningless? Preseason poll seems to be about the same gauge as a poll after week one when everyone is getting blown out by FBS teams or stomping D-II teams into the ground...

Meaningless till the midpoint of the season after week 6. Then they are semi meaningless.

App State and Elon are too high
App is probably top 10 and maybe top 5, but not top 3 yet IMO

Southern Illinois perenially overrated.
South Carolina State will only move up in the rankings if they start out this high..... MEAC patsies
Penn shouldn't be granted a ranking....since the Ivies are "above" the "playoff riff raff"... no disrsepect to their capable team... simply a comment on their institutional la-dee-da-dom.
Bring on Lafayette.. Rodney Dangerfield of the FCS.
Delaware's got their opponents right where they want them... UD an underdog week by week....marching through Virginia under General Keeler.

I haven't seen them play, but from what I hear they are not your typical "MEAC patsies" (They hung tough with App 2 years straight for goodness sake)

South Carolina State is no joke. They lost Will Ford... but, they have most of their defense back and plenty of weapons on offense. If they get to host a game or go somewhere other than Boone in the first round they'll make some believers.

True that. Good team and even better fans.
