From which states your players come from?

For UNI I used the spring roster and our signing class from this past spring.

57 players from Iowa
12 from Missouri
11 from Minnesota
4 from Wisconsin
3 from Florida
2 from Oklahoma
2 from Illinois
2 from Kansas
1 from Colorado
1 from South Dakota
1 from Massachusetts


That gives us 96 players. That will change with people quitting, getting kicked off for various reasons (hope that doesn't happen), and people just showing up to camp to try to walk on.

From the Spring Roster, which has 78 players listed, they come from:

Players on the spring roster were recruited under the Walsh and Glanville regime along with Burton's recruits this year. Walsh always recruited California heavily using connections within the JUCO system there. Glanville recruited instate his first year, but used his NFL contacts in the Houston area towards his second year here.

For Maine I don't know our exact breakdown, but The majority of our team is from New Jersey

Man, I couldn't believe Sacramento State's "99 from California" but damned if it isn't true. That must be a record for in-state recruiting. None of the rest on this list are even close. It must be tough competing with the Pac-10 and WAC.

Yeah, I was wonderin' about that but didn't bother to check to see if was accurate. Pretty nuts. EWU does a really good job at nabbing instate talent, but we usually grab our skill positions like QB and RB out of Cali.
