Like a swarm of locusts they seem to have died off - where did they go?

There wasn't a critical mass like there was on GoHens. To be that negative and that deragatory of the program on a consistent basis, you need the peer support of like minded individuals. There just wasn't enough of a choir here to preach to so they died off. Unfortunately, that didn't seem to happen on GoHens where the choir was firmly entrenched.
Of course, I say that and maybe they're all just out trying to track KC Keeler's movements and get some new inside info on his tipping habits? Maybe that takes time?

Huddle tomorrow night (Wed. June 9th) at Klondike's.
7pm, but get there earlier for food and a drink.
Guest speaker Brian Ginn.

I think they saw their drivel wouldn't go very far here. They were non-contributors on GoHens, and were not even close to that here, good riddance, mission accomplished.

Thou dost protest too much. Outside of meaningless drama created by those with gripes about how many times Keeler sent back the roast beef at the Blue & Gold Club, there's very little to talk about right now thankfully. Let's be grateful for this summer vacation.
I've been way more productive at work thanks to the GoHens poison pill !!

Agreed, let the sleeping dogs, well you know. While I miss GOhens, it's been nice not reading the drivel.
Has anyone talked to Hens Rock? Any chance it will be back?

I hope he brings it back up in August before practice starts. Not all of us engaged in the bashing and such. If he still has problems then ban those members and let the rest of us have meaningful dialog about the coming season.

Its actually rather amazing how peaceful its been. I hope GoHens makes a come back for the season/summer camp when there is stuff to talk about.

I shudder to think of the chaos that GoHens would be today with the confluence of FBS conference realignment, APR scores being released, and the release of renderings of what the expansion to the Tub will look like. Of course, it's easy to guess the reaction to each of those topics - "UD has no vision, we should be playing BCS football today", "Keeler is filling the football team with the dumbest rocks he can find", and "Ah yes, more pretty pictures to placate the masses - Harker is all talk!". Oh, and I'm sure KC would've only given a 10% tip to some miscellaneous waiter 5 years ago. Bastard.

The downside of no GoHens is there is zero chance the stadium expansion news would've stayed so quiet for a couple days after it was released. Timely info & inside info is what the site excelled at & what I miss. On the other hand, there's a lot I don't miss either.

Gannonfan -
This is the "topic" you VERY briefly referred to as "conversation" for Hen Fans....

William and Mary - 980 / 980
Villanova - 980 / 978
New Hampshire - 979 / 977
Richmond - 979 / 983
Northeastern - 970/ 985
Maine - 969 / 980
Towson - 964 / 961
Hofstra - 963/ 964
James Madison - 941 / 940
Delaware - 940 / 929
Rhode Island - 931/ 938
Massachusetts - 927 / 927
Nice job, KC.
Timely information.
Oh.....nice pictures.

Don't worry - it took Bangy two whole days to compile and post information that normal people could've and did figure out about 5 minutes after seeing the NCAA's release. And unless he starts talking to himself (which he has done before) his choir of investigative KC detractors aren't here (or are busy searching down leads on how much, if any, KC tipped people who dried his car after getting his car washed in June 2005) so it can only go so far. What a shame for all of us.

Let the strategy of distraction begin. Any actual thoughts on the academic status of UD football? Guess the NCAA is among the "KC bashers". Any reason the "Sunshine Gang" members didn't post something two days ago after their 5-minute analysis.....maybe someone with thousands of things to say on multiple boards?

It's kind of hard to judge really where certain schools should be in terms of APR, it's a relatively new concept. Not defending UD's rating, as obviously it's low, but passing in FB. At least this is one discussion that if gohens were still active wouldn't immediately get "thrown into the gutter" with back & forth comments about how when Tubby was the coach the UD football team had a higher collective GPA that the school of engineering, blah, blah, blah.
I see Bangor figured out Allentown State Hospital moved the internet access room one door down, only took a week plus to figure it out, douchebag.

I'm not sure what the drop in the number means. Do you? While I understand that knee-jerk reactions without thought tend to be your modus operandi, I actually prefer to come at something from a position of knowledge. Certainly that takes the fun out of publicly chastising coaches and players via an anonymous message board persona (personas in your case of course), but apparently only a few like you really use that as a source of entertainment and pride. Again, quite a shame that you can't use HR's board to question and condemn the academic integrity of KC and more importantly, the players, all the while having nothing but a number to go on that I'm sure you couldn't begin to describe how it's determined, let alone even have an inkling of background knowledge as to how UD got to that number. KC's bad, he doesn't genuflect for Dist IX players, and he's a rotten tipper (or at least was on one ocassion 3 years ago, acording to a friend of a friend).

You can take GoHens off the internet, but apparently it's harder taking GoHens outta people's behavior:
Read in a local Delaware rag about a big brouhaha last weekend in Rehoboth Beach at Grotto's on the Boardwalk. Two older men were arrested for a public disturbance. The first guy wouldn't get out of line when asked to by local law enforcement in protest to the size of the slice of pizza he was served, he was heard bellowing, "these slices were more than double the size when Tubby was the coach". Henzone was later released.
The second guy was led away screaming at whomever would listen, "my grandson is 4 years old, if he orders a hot dog, how can you not have spicy mustard?!?" God Bless BlueHenBill(without the "K").

Unfortunately, the truth is that the Blue and Gold Club closed this year.

Bummer...it was always a place to find Blue Hen fans and former players rummaging around.
However, now that we know Keeler's repeated waste of roast beef is responsible for the club's closing...well, that's just too much to take. We need to send KC packing and hope he lands a job coaching some third rate H.S. football team in Bangor, PA.

I heard that too. Made me sad to hear. Growing up, my family had many a post game meal there. Also had the family post commencement luncheon there back in 2005 for my graduation. It was a nice fixture on campus, but in my opinion got a bit lost in its direction. The downstairs pub, which if I lived in Newark would have been my 'quiet bar', had crap TVs and they almost never had sports on.
You and I could have run it better.

"Third rate" high school football team in District XI PA is Emmaus High School.....KCs alma mater. Field hockey, swimming, and golf powerhouse....along with MATHCOUNTS. Biggest athletic alum is probably Aaron Gray now in the NBA.

I know I've made this comment on this board in the "Pretty Pictures" thread...but I'm not the only one who thinks like this. I believe there was once a GoHens signature quote that read something along the lines of "Harker, don't tell me. Show me."
You know we've been given fairly similar pictures in the past, GF, and that what we've been shown this time around is nowhere near what we were shown 2 years ago. While the watercolor looks fine and dandy, I need to see some scale model replicas of the complex or a video before I start believing that the University is serious about the designs they released. Can't fault a guy for doing so.

I agree, I don't contend that Harker, in athletics, has done a lot of tangible things yet. However, I contend that he is still very early in his tenure and he just got his own AD on board last year so it's not as if he's had his own team in place for very long. And after Muir came in, they certainly did a lot of quick-hit fixes to the football facility in terms of dressing it up.
And I think this version of pretty drawings is far more realistic than the prior set we saw. First of all, the last ones came with Edgar at the helm - obviously he was never going to be able to pull something like that off. Second, these drawings tie in perfectly with what Harker has always said he wants to do with the physical structure of the building so it clearly does represent what he wants to do. And third, they are breaking ground on other things that they (Harker and Muir) have promised (i.e. modifications to the Bob for the extra courts and offices and artificial turf in the football stadium to allow lacrosse to play in there are just two of the first things) so they are beginning to do things that they have talked about.
It's hard to see progress when we were so conditioned to the twilight years of the Roselle/Edgar tandem and a general malaise when it came to facilities, but I think, especially now that Muir is in place as AD, that there is real attention being paid to athletics and making progress there. Obviously they have to translate the pretty pictures into something real, but at least now there is some hope and actual examples of them doing just that so it's not far fetched to think they'll do the same here.

No way can Aaron Gray be a bigger EMS alum than Keeler. I haven't seen a single post anywhere that mentions Gray's tipping practices.
