A reporter for the Daily Press (who's been reliable in the past) just tweeted that Delaware will be ODU's first official conference opponent ever in 2011. The game will be at the Tub on September 24.

Glad to see Yeager giving ODU a break in its CAA opener before scheduling us against higher level opponents.

Should be a good battle for 1-1/2 quarters and give our reserves some CAA experience prior to meeting some real CAA-caliber competition.

I guess that leaves Waste Management at Foreman Field for homecoming.

In all seriousness, at least they'll get to witness the best men's room in all of FCS.

Dear ODU, keep in mind it's always most painful your first time. It'll feel better in future weeks I'm sure. But we'll do our best to be gentle, and may even shed a small tear along with you at the honor of being selected to distribute your first plowing.

In all seriousness though, this'll be a nice tune-up for the Hens. We'll get a D-II team (for the last time thankfully), then a team sort of in between a D-II and a lower-tier CAA team in ODU, and then some real games. I like it. I'm guessing KC calls off the dogs in the second half, as ODU will eventually be a respectable squad and you don't want to embarrass them.

It will be a good start for our new QB...he gets to break in gently before facing stiffer competition. Our O-line should be awesome in 2011...+300lbs across the board.

Blow people off the ball...grind out games the old fashioned way. Woo-hoo! ODU gets "plowed" for sure.

Eddi Conti had 401 all-purpose yards in the game and Matt Nagy threw for 556 yards

Just curious..... how many games are you scheduled to play Cal Poly?

Oh....if you purchase tickets for Delaware through your ticket office, you'll likely be seated in proximity to Section J. It won't be pretty.....think 12th man times umpteen. UD sells through ticketmaster.

Not sure what your problem is, but most UD fans are classy. The few people who went on the UNI board to talk trash and start trouble are the same posters most of the other UD posters hate. I have always been respectful of other teams and other fans, and wished UNI luck as did other UD posters. There were also a few UNI posters that were just as bad. Every fanbase has these type of people. Also, just to let you know, NorthHen is not a UD fan and never has been. He is not an alumnus, has no children or relatives who went to UD, and is not from Delaware.
