TE C.J. Robertson (6'3", 250) and All-American OT David Pickard (6'5", 300) were riding the green line in Chicago when three punks got on, clearly up to something. One grabbed a mans iphone an ran - straight into Robertson and Pickard, who body slammed him and held him for the cops at the end of the line. Nice to hear a little
good news involving college athletes.

I've rooted for the Salukis ever since their former coach brought his team to UD in 2003. That guy was a class act.
Kudos to the Saluki players for doing a good thing!

Good to hear it wasn't football players trying to start shit.
It's always refreshing (it's sad that when football players aren't the criminals we are shocked isn't it?) to hear about these kinds of things.

'03 was an azzwhuppin for the ages; we've lost to some very good teams since our return to the playoffs, but not like that. Best team I've ever seen SIU play. Jerry Kill is still active in the Coach Kill Cancer Fund that he started while he was here. He'll eat steak every night he's in Egypt.

I wonder if these "punks" had NDSU jerseys on with Best Buy sacks in their hands? I kid I kid.
Anyways, way to go Salukis.

Link? These kinds of stories get buried in the media instead or promoting the majority of college athletes that are out there actually doing some good!

Here's one:

I love this quote:
"Both of our moms weren't too pleased when they heard about it," Robertson told us on Thursday between workouts in Carbondale. "They said: 'What if he had a gun or a knife or whatever?' Honestly, we didn't really ever consider that as an option, for whatever reason."
