This is kind of old news now, but I didn't remember seeing it posted on here. Packman will be making his first trip to Paladin Stadium for the FU vs. Citadel game September 25. I'm hoping we have a great turnout and give those guys a warm welcome to Furman.

I see some other SoCon schools on the Babes page. Any of you App. State fans have any interaction with these guys when they visited?
Southern Fried Football making first ever trip to Furman
Re: Southern Fried Football making first ever trip to Furman
I've never heard the show, but my former boss (an App guy) listens to Packman all the time and has met him a few times. I think Packman is at KBS the week before Furman and my ex-boss is attending.

Just don't expect Furman to make a return trip, we know they pull out quicker than a Catholic teenage boy, haha.

Hello there, cutie. My name is Graeme (pronounced like Graham crackers) and you look like my type. I frequently hang out around Portofinos or Town Tavern most nights. If I fail to recognize you, I will be the handsome young man with blonde hair and purdy blue eyes. I'm very approachable and I would like to meet you. Thank you.

A return trip to Packman's house? Come on, that one's a bit of a stretch.bluehenbillk wrote:Just don't expect Furman to make a return trip, we know they pull out quicker than a Catholic teenage boy, haha.

Packman is a d-bag, just like his dad. Tell him I said to take his shitty show somewhere else besides Boone.

From GoASU:

I dropped by last year and grabbed some free posters and mini-footballs they were giving away. I've never actually listened to the show (I don't listen to any sports talk radio, actually *yawn*).SOUTHERN FRIED FOOTBALL TOUR COMING BACK TO BOONE: Primetime with the Packman host Mark Packer will bring his Southern Fried Football Tour to Kidd Brewer Stadium on Sept. 18 for ASU’s non-conference battle versus in-state foe North Carolina Central.
This year’s SFF Tour stop at ASU marks the sixth-straight season and eighth time overall that Packman and his crew will take in the gameday experience at The Rock. Most notably, the SFF Tour was on hand for the “Miracle on the Mountain” 16-15 win over Furman in 2002, the Apps’ 79-35 rout over archrival Western Carolina in 2007 (ASU’s 79 points are by far the most scored by any team in Southern Fried Football history) and a SoCon title-clinching 24-16 triumph over Elon in 2008.

Mehhh ... The Vermin. Hope Packer likes Whine and Cheese
Though -- Furman is going to be tough this year.
Lotsa balance in the SoCon. Throw the Purple in with Samford, Chatty, Ankle Biters and Iggles, and yah gots no one to overlook.
Including the Phinnie-Whinnies from Haw River.
