Any of you fools watching this defensive struggle??

hell of a finish to the game.

From my POV (that being in an easy chair listening to the game)...

OFFENSE: There were questions about the line since they are basically a new unit...those questions have been answered in my mind...

This line is big, strong, and playing together...they are giving Liam Coen time to pass, and Tony Nelson holes to run into...

The Receivers are running their routes as designed...Horne, Cruz and Bailey are the main targets...

Tony Nelson has stepped up as expected to fill big shoes in the backfield...last week against Albany he ran wild...this week against Holy Cross, the receivers were featured, but Nelson picked up the yardage needed when they asked him...

Finally, Coen is playing like the leader an offense needs...there's not much more to say, except opposing defenses had better look out...

DEFENSE: There's work needed here...Jennings came to life in the second half against Holy Cross and got pressure on the QB...but the rest of the front line and LBs sometimes seemed confused...the talent is there, they need to get their act together before JMU next Saturday...

The secondary is suppose to be our strong point...so far, they have defended the long pass very well...but they aren't contributing in the short passing game, which is what both Albany and Holly Cross successfully used...

The defense also picked up too many yellow flags yesterday...they hurt themselves...

SPECIAL TEAMS: Other than extra points and field goal kicking, special teams gave the Crusaders excellent starting position too many times...which in turn put pressure on the "D"...

Next week will tell a lot about this team as we open CAA play against JMU on the road...if we can pull off a win there, I think we'll be OK...if not...it's going to be a long season...

And we have Texas Tech the following week.....

Like the Ivy, relic of a more glorious past (capacity 23,000). Still, the game drew almost 13,000

Worcester used to be the hub of the New England for a point. There was a lot out there including professional baseball. I am sure it had some use back in the day.
