1. Akron ain't squat. G-W winning that game isn't that much of a stretch even though I'd put them second-tier Big South at best.

2. I see you ignored my Presby pick. LOL.

3. As a Liberty grad and current LBTS grad student, I'm going to be about as biased for Liberty as I am for Sac State.

4. As much as it pains me to pick against Stacy Keibler's alma mater, they haven't been very good lately. CCU is the lower end of the Big South first tier, so they're going to win that one, IMO.

5. I'm still upset with Wofford from a few years ago. I'm hoping for a little bit of personal league-based revenge....

Well, if GW ever had a chance to beat a D.I team this would be it. Admittedly, our boys still have a learning curve to climb before we can seriously consider contending for the BS Championship this year. Our youth on offense and the loss of Marty Patterson at LB creates a challenging situation for us. However, Jeffrey Williams stepped up last weekend and was a real player for us. If our O makes the necessary adjustments this week, we should be competitive. If you look at Akron, you see a team that has not been very good and they are transitioning to a new offensive scheme with young personnel. We will certainly have a better chance beating them than we did against Buffalo and NC State last year.

just imagine how awesome it would have been if CCU beat West Virginia last week, Presby beat WF, and LU and GW won this week. The Big South would be high for weeks!
