Cal Poly vs McNeese St Canceled

Game is going to be canceled because of unpredictable weather from IKE. What a loss this is going to be for both teams. Glad they stayed on the safe side of things but both teams sure lost some SOS over this. It could mean that one will not make the playoffs this year if they drop to many games because they will have one fewer game on their schedule.

I really don't understand this move. I mean, I could understand a postponement or a change of venue, but not an outright cancellation. If there were no common off weeks (doesn't necessarily have to be a Saturday), then they could either play the game at SLO or at a neutral site, probably about half-way between. Sure, fans would be lost doing that, but a game played before empty seats is better than losing the SOS, doncha think?

I agree. Not a big fan of the cancellation. I would have rather had Cal Poly just fly to another airport and then bus to the game. I guess they were going to be bused to the game anyway, so why does it matter which airport one lands at?

Why not just switch to Cal Poly? Was the stadium booked?

Or they could just come up to Montana and we could have a double header on Saturday.

Guaranteed that more people would show up IN MISSOULA for a CP-McNeese game than showed up IN CAL POLY for the Montana game.

Not content with playing all of their games in Missoula, Montana is now recruiting other teams to play their games in Missoula as well.....have you no shame?

We just like watching good football. So that eliminates most of the teams in the West.

HA HA right the teams from the west are not good. Right, Not sure but the west is pretty impressive with MOntana, North Dakota state, South Dakota State, Cal Poly, Easten Washington and a few others. You all have to realize the west part of the us is considered around 12 or 13 states. the other 35 are considered eastern rather than western. and out of those states we are pretty dang good. plus the west does not have half the population the east does. SO i would look at it a little bit better than you are!!!!!!!!!

By the way you cant call Montana weak and we are in the west. NDSU, SDSU just moved up and are dominating the FCS. Montana 15 straight playoff seasons.... Cant call that weak.
