http://www.dailycomet.com/article/20080 ... owie_StateTHIBODAUX – Because of structural damage to the lights at John L. Guidry Stadium, Nicholls State announced on Tuesday the cancellation of this Saturday’s nonconference football game against Bowie State.
The game was scheduled for 6 p.m. in Thibodaux. It is the second game this season the Colonels were forced to cancel because of Gustav.
They don’t have another home game scheduled until Oct. 18 at 2 p.m. against Stephen F. Austin.
The Colonels next game, which is their first game, is set for Sept. 20 at Memphis.

SuperHornet's Athletics Hall of Fame includes Jacksonville State kicker Ashley Martin, the first girl to score in a Division I football game. She kicked 3 PATs in a 2001 game for J-State.
