Still don't see how 2, 1-1 teams William & Mary and Montana are ranked above the 2-0 teams that beat them. :ohno:

Good thing FCS has playoffs, even if teams have to settle it on the field twice.

Gil...JESUS FUCKING CHRIST. It is the second week of the season and all of these numbers are off of PRE-SEASON rankings that mean absolutely nothing. I though you were smarter.

LOL at the two voters who voted for Morgan State.
Must have been impressed by the big 14-7 win over D.II Bowie State. Because that 3rd quarter field goal didn't speak to me in the 62-3 loss to Maryland.

I was waiting on this. I agree.

ODU lost to Jacksonville and then put a hurting on Campbell (who had to score a last second TD to beat UVa-Wise, I know this only because my cousin plays there. BTW, UVa-Wise was losing 42-7 to the University of the Cumberlands when I left Saturday's game in the 3rd Quarter).

Andy's pointed out the Morgan State issue. And others are just as ridiculous.

Everybody take a deep breath and take it for what it's worth. I have to give the reminder every year that polls don't begin to accurately reflect competitiveness until mid-October.

I generally agree near the top, but sometimes the ORV category will show the type of voters that create the make-up of the poll, even early on.

This. The 8 people that voted 0-2 Howard at #25 or the person that had them at #17 votes count just as much as the person/people who take this seriously.

This poll is a F'n JOKE because of the loose cannons they have voting. SN should be EMBARRASSED to high heaven to print this. :ohno:

There's a good chance that Old Dominion will not be favored in the next 4 games.
W&M - Home
Monmouth - Away
Gardner-Webb - Home
Cal Poly - Home

What idiot gave us consideration before such a gauntlet?

Wow. I didn't realize the schedule. That didn't look so bad before the start of the season.

Having said that, I have no problem ranking a team on their body of work without considering the future schedule. My problem was, and no offense to ODU, the body of work wasn't that great.

Only 7 teams in the top 25? :?

The CAA is slipping. :ohno:

I bet we only get half our teams in the playoffs.

I'd like to know how they justify dropping UM from 1 to 6 after a hard-fought game against a good opponent. I could have seen placing the Griz anywhere from 2-4, but 6?!?

At least they didn't get the same treatment VA Tech got....

I think being at six right now is a gift considering what some of the other teams are doing. If we were at 10 I think a case could be made because we've won ONE game AT HOME against a middlin' at best D2.

With your logic, shouldn't Cal Poly be above us? That would seem more egregious at this point then the Griz dropping the normal 4-6 spots after a loss.

Craig Haley reads the the message boards but email him nicely, without the harsh language, about this and I'm sure he will address it. He is new and will take time to get things straightened out but some of this is not his fault. The voters likely doing these votes were given a vote before Haley got there. I know Haley booted CSN from voting and I'm sure he will vote others as he sees fit.
