Playoffs?

Ok, so with the new playoff format this year what is the magic number of wins to get in. I mean it used to be 7 is really iffy, 8 and one is looking better, and 9 or 10 is an IN. With the extra game this year that teams can have and then some of the games being canceled what is the magic number that some teams will have to hit inorder to make the playoffs? I know SOS will play a part in it also but.....humor me. I was reading about how Umass might not get in if they win 9.

It depends on which 9.

Exactly...since one of our games is against Bryant, which is a transition team and doesn't count...
Since we'll be 2 - 2 after losing to Texas Tech next week... we basically can only lose one more game...
If we lose two, and end up 8 - 4 (7-4 in counters)...we won't make the play offs...

I guess my question is does the number of wins mean as much or more than the school involved inorder to make the playoffs? Such as APP or MT?

Montana only has one non-counter. And they should win that one. If they go 9-2 on the OTHER 11, they should be fine. 8-3 would probably do it as well (given their history). If an NAU or PSU was 8-4 with 3 league losses and a D-II win, they may not get in (since they'd probably be the 3rd BSC team, and we know how the East Coast Bias works....)

Yes....that's why I said an NAU or a PSU with an 8-4 record probably WOULDN'T.
Try and stay focused here, Grizza...
