Had it not been for this board, I would still be looking for the story about the UM/EWU game today. No mention of the Griz game in either the Sunday, or this mornings Billings Gazette sports section. The Bobcats, however are smeared all over the section, stories about Ash, Drake, the big home win this weekend, the suspension of a defensive tackle for trying to kill the Drake QB, blah, blah, blah.

To add insult to injury, the bottom half of this mornings Gazette sports section is a large article and picture of Ryan Leaf, and about how he is trying to adjust to normal life, back in his home town of Great Falls, living with his parents...

I don't think many folks would be picking that tool up on the side of the road in a blizzard.

He was a super prick in highschool...after he left and went to Washington he swore off Montana and said he was from Washington to anyone that would listen. In the NFL....well...we all know that. Pretty much acted like an entitled little bitch.

Indeed, and he took a no pay job at West Texas A&M as their QB coach during the time my kid was playing D-2 ball. They played each other in the D-2 playoffs in '06, and Leaf was the celebrity headliner coach at the time. Turns out he was hitting up the players for their prescription pain dope, and eventually, breaking into a player's apartment to steal the oxy.

He got fired, and before moving back to GF, reportedly was under the tuledge of Rush Limbaugh.

He is the tool of the century in Montana.

Apparantly, Leaf didn't have the required amount of arrests coming out of HS to warrant a schollie offer from UM. He's been trying to make up for it since.....

You won't be so fortunate in Boone. Regardless of how fast Montana penal system processes your players so they're available for the game, I doubt the parole board will allow them to leave the state...but then again, it is Montana...

Nope. We got most of our NC's over CAA teams on neutral fields. I believe you might be familiar with that scenario (well, familiar with the scenario up until the "winning" part).....

They weren't neutral fields when it was in Chatty. We were lucky enough to get a couple of SoCon teams in a couple of our chippers so we could have a couple titles. Marshall was most certainly not neutral.

We couldn't look across the field and see you there in those 7 appearances. What else could we do but hope you made it far enough to get a chance to come to Missoula so we could get a look at ya in person.

No, it wasn't at all. Great place to watch a game as long as you're a Marshall fan I imagine...7 appearances, huh....you better hope we never meet on a neutral field for a NC considering our respective batting averages once we arrive....
