I agree with the UD/JMU game. Maine @ UNH and 'Nova @ William/Mary are key CAA games as well.

So what you're implying is that Lamar vs SAM won't be on the list?

This sounds like a major scheduling faux pas on BYE's part.

I think their AD needs to be fired.

BYE's AD is a pretty evasive little cuss.....he does this every season. :ohno:

Legitimate question for you with the byes. What is the purpose of this for you guys? I understand wheen a school has one at the beginning of the season for this reason or that, but the seasson is so short, why have one in the middle of the season?

Getting a week off midseason to rest is obviously a terrible idea. Players have nagging injuries all the time. Giving them more rest only exacerbates it! Those fools.

Our bye week is falling between OOC and conference. Perfect. Gives the players a little time off and any injuries more time to heal going into conference play. 7 weeks of no rest for the weary, after that. (well, hopefully more than 7)

We had ours in week one. You have no idea what I would give to have it thus week or next. I'm sure the coaches feel the same way

Can I say the GOTW will be SFA having a bye because no one will be able to pin some ridiculous tag on the Lumberjacks?

I already anticipate their participation in some sort of prostitution/cocaine ring on Saturday night...so you might want to wait on that... :D

Originally App's bye was supposed to be last week before the Samford game on Oct 2nd, but the SoCon switched it because Samford would have played four SoCon games against teams coming off bye weeks.

Even though the SoCon has failed to realize it in the past for the public school contingent and are pusses for looking out for the privates, I'd prefer it to be this week. So no we have seven games left after the bye rather than eight.

Plus if we play well enough, we'll get another bye on Thanksgiving weekend.

Why?

Is there studies that show FCS teams are more likely to get hurt while playing FBS games?

I heard, well we came out uninjured so that's good. Either it's a shock that your team went a game without getting hurt, which is a problem if that is newsworthy. OR the FBS players are so much bigger, faster, and stronger that not getting hurt is impossible for FCS players.

I don't buy that at all
